The buses in Nottingham are very good, so doesn't matter if you're a little way away.Éowyn said:I need some names of some nearby hotels pelase, cheap ones!

Should've noticed this sooner - i only live about a mile away from the tennis centre - it's nearer to Beeston than to Nottingham itself, so here's a decent b&b that my parents often use:Éowyn said:I need some names of some nearby hotels pelase, cheap ones!

It's quite near beeston train station - which you should be able to get to directly from London if your going by train
Alternatively there's this one, which is even close to the station:

Both are within walking distance to the tennis centre - if you're prepared to walk just over 1 mile!
Do i have to book the train tickets in advance or can i buy them the same day?ae wowww said:I think train. Only like 2 hours outta London, nice smooth journey, then v short bus journey to outside the grounds.
play it safe..get them a week ahead.alfonsojose said:Do i have to book the train tickets in advance or can i buy them the same day?
You can buy your train tickets on the day you travel - we don't have trains where you have to have a reserved seat to travel like a lot of other places in Europe. However, if you know exactly when you're travelling, it is much cheaper to buy your tickets in advance - you can save an awful lot of money that way. If you buy them on the day you will have to pay "full fare" with no discounted prices, whereas there are lots of special offers available if you buy your tickets early. One word of warning for that though - if you do buy a discounted ticket and then miss your train for whatever reason, you won't get a refund or an exchange so you'll have to buy a completely new ticket.alfonsojose said:Do i have to book the train tickets in advance or can i buy them the same day?
