Welcome to the 2013 MTF Favourite Active Players Thread.

Like always you have to name at least 5 players or votes won’t count.

It would be much appreciated if you would include reasons for your decisions but it’s not a requirement.

Of course you can only vote once for the same player.

Please make sure before you are going to vote if you have already mentioned your players before.

It's easy to check if you have already posted in a thread: Just click on "search this thread", advanced search and write down your name under "search by user name".

Here is how the points will be distributed:

#1 = 10
#2 = 9
#3 = 8
#4 = 7
#5 = 6
#6 = 5
#7= 4
#8= 3
#9 = 2
#10= 1

Hopefully many people will participate :)

Even with all the new gloryhunting fangirls that are flocking to MTF because of Dull's miraculous year he still sits at number 5.

Haven't lost all faith on MTF yet. Good to see.

Who cares who wins on a MTF voting, as long as he keeps winning in court I'm content. Tennis is not a popularity fan girl contest.

Re: 2013 MTF Top 10 Favourite Active Players Thread (5th update in post #515)

My Top 10 for 2013:

1 Roger Federer

I know that this is a huge surprise for everyone :p

I think over all the years on MTF I said enough why he is my favorite player of all time.
He makes the game look so easy and even though his form isn't the same anymore as during his peak he is still capable of shots no other player can do.

I'm always amazed to see him playing live but also how down to earth, funny and friendly he is.

I don't know how he does it with everything going around him...

The following 6 players I like equally but as I have to rank them I did it spontaneously

2 Juan Martin Del Potro

He should hire me when he wants to reach the final of a certain tournament as I seem to bring him good luck at the tournaments I see him play
(2 wins and 1 final)

I really like to watch him play and hope that he wins another Grand Slam title one day.

He is also such a nice and funny guy.

3 Tommy Haas

He is an inspiration to players how to deal with tough injuries and setbacks.

It's such a joy to see him play and hopefully he can be on the tour for some time to come.

4 Stanislas Wawrinka

He finally seems to get out of the shadow of Roger and it's much deserved that he has such good results this season.

I'm so glad that his working with Magnus Norman pays off :)

5 Tomas Berdych

Please bring a Federer mask on the court the next time you play against Rafa or Novak - I'm sure your playing ability will improve about 100 %

6 Grigor Dimitrov

I always wondered what the fascination of MTF users was with him but then I saw him playing live last year in Basel and got immediately hooked.

I haven't lost faith that he will have his real breakthrough soon... :)

7 Marco Chiudinelli

I have huge respect for him that he always found a way to come back after all the injuries he got through his career.

He was amazing this year in DC doubles against Berdych/Rosol :worship:

8 Mikhail Youzhny

He was so impressive this year on grass in Halle and would have been a worthy winner of the tournament.

It's always a pleasure to watch him play.

9 Jesse Huta Galung

He was my main discovery this year and responsible for a great time in Rotterdam.

10 Marcos Baghdatis

I'm so glad I could watch his match against Dimitrov live in Rotterdam this year.

That was such entertaining stuff :yeah:

I still can't believe that that young Bulgarian punk Dimitrov is more popular than Murry, Wawrinka and many others. What the hell is wrong with you people ? He achieved nothing, won nothing, he is not interesting or articulate ... he is not even good looking IMO. Are you voting for Sharapova here ? gee, oh well, whatever.

Divatrov is probably more popular than them due to his looks. Fact!
