I haven't been able to watch any of the US Open matches. What's the general verdict of Rogers form so far in the Open. He's lost two sets, but is there any reason for concern? Is the forehand back where it's supposed to be? What about the backhand, serve, movement, etc?
I think he looks great. Top form and A+ game. Forehand + Bakchand working. Movement great. Serve great.
The losses of 2 sets was not because he played bad.
Isner is an increible server. The first set was an amazing display of serving from him. Not many chances for Federer. But as the match went on, he started to figure out Isners sreve and he wrapped the match up without trouble.
The set against Lopez was also not bad. Lopez served incredible that set, also his groundstrokes were on fire. But Federer then upped his level when he needed. Then there was nothing Lopez could do..
So I am very happy with his form. He should win the title playing like this.
I think he's in cruise control he hasn't made any jaw-dropping errors and increased the tempo when he needed it, he looks 100% better than he did in Canada were he couldn't buy a forehand return!
LOL, and a few weeks ago we thought his AO form would never return, and then he goes ahead and wins 35 straight points on his serve and makes 1 UFE in two sets.
