Okay, here's the 2009 tentative schedule. I've put in all the ATP tournaments, but I doubt he'll be able to get into the European spring Masters Series events (or whatever they call them now). I'll change those to challengers when the time comes. I'm hoping that he skips the European tournaments during the summer and immediately goes on to hardcourts after Roland Garros. I know he won't do this so I don't know why I bother  , but my humble opinion, he should skip the grass season and play some hardcourt challengers, then immediately go to the US Open series events so he can be ready for the US Open. It's his best Grand Slam so in these last couple years where he has a chance to still do something, he should give it the best try possible - and playing clay all summer and getting on to hardcourts just before the US Open isn't giving it the best try.

Good luck to Nico in 2009! :fiery:

Re: Nico's 2007 (Tentative) Schedule - see first post for schedule

Thanks No1Rios for posting the entry list of Vina.
It's very interesting. There are only 3 russians : Tursunov, Andreev and Korolev. No Davydenko, Safin or Youzhny. Maybe some of them won't play the Davis Cup tie. Anyway, if they play, it will be difficult for them to get used to the ground.

Re: Nico's 2007 (Tentative) Schedule - see first post for schedule

i think that 3 russians and Safin or Davydenko will be the russian DC team vs Chile

Safin has more posibilities to play in Chile compared to Davydenko, firstly Marat said in November that he want to play this tie, even in his official schedule is in. Davydenko (and Youzhny) will play in Europe the previous week to the tie and Marat will not play any tournament between AO and the Davis Cup. Finally, Safin likes DC and Davy not :p (Marat have a country to represnt, Davydenko is really Ukranian)

I hope a good draw in Auckland, AO and Viña for Nico. Shame that finally it seems that I couldn't go to the DC tie (money issues)

VAMOS NICO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Nico's 2007 (Tentative) Schedule - see first post for schedule

:woohoo:

He said he wasn't playing Brasil, but look there he is!!!

Yeay - good decision Nico! :yeah:

He needs that tournament - he's got to go all out during the LA swing and play every tournament becuase that's where he picks up a lot of points during the year. If he needs to skip anything, skip IW after the LA swing. He never does anything there anyway.

No, he has to play.

Tired doesn't cut it.

He's going to be a mean, lean, fighting machine during the Latin America swing! :boxing: And get those points.

(I know...I'm mean.)

Re: Nico's 2007 (Tentative) Schedule - see first post for schedule

so is he really in the entry list?? :p ... well is good to play the tournament but I've to be the weak one here since I won't want him to tired and for that to cause an injury, like No1Rios said, it'll depend on DC

Re: Nico's 2007 (Tentative) Schedule - see first post for schedule

On one hand it's sad, but he can win another tournament later!
On the other hand, it's pretty cool, because unlike to some here who are already defeated:( :) , it seems Nico still trust in Chile's chance to win!:worship:
