I hope Action Jackson won't mind it if I'm going to run this poll this year again.

You have to name at least 5 players or votes won’t count.
It would be much appreciated if you would include reasons for your decisions but it’s not a requirement.
Of course you can only vote once for the same player.

Please make sure before you are going to vote if you have already mentioned your players before.

It's easy to check if you have already posted in a thread. Just click on "search this thread", advanced search and write down your name under "search by user name".

Here is how the points will be distributed:

#1 = 10
#2 = 9
#3 = 8
#4 = 7
#5 = 6
#6 = 5
#7= 4
#8= 3
#9 = 2
#10= 1

Hopefully many people will participate :)

Re: 2012 MTF Top 10 Favourite Active Players (1st update in #83)

Players I'd pay money to watch

1. Federer
2. Tsonga - nicest player, seems to have a really good heart and aura about him
3. Del Potro - when he's on, completely dismantles opponents until they're helpless
4. Simon - has done so much with so little
5. Berdych - still a Berdbrain but can beat anyone and everyone when he puts his mind to it
6. Djokovic - despite popular opinion, is not actually evil personified and is a nice guy
7. Monfils - so fun
8. Nalbandian - nobody can construct points like this guy. such a cerebral, creative tennis player.
9. Gasquet - Pretty game
10 Gulbis - this headcase could be a threat if ever he got his head out of his @ss

Re: 2012 MTF Top 10 Favourite Active Players (2nd update in #120)

1. Ferrer - most underrated player, poor guy is overshadowed by big 4, very good sportsman as well
2. Blake - just all around good guy
3. Harrison - he's got potential, and I look forward to seeing him break through... and I'm american
4. Fish - I'm american. I can't really ever find myself rooting against him unless he's playing Ferrer
5. Roddick - Even against Ferrer I find myself backing Roddick... probably cuz I'm american. but he's also an asshole pretty often
6. Nadal - He is fun to watch, always a good sport, and very modest about himself. He somehow makes even the greatest slaughters exciting.
7. Del Potro - I'd love to see him win another slam. Great comeback story
8. Isner - 6:4 3:6 6:7 7:6 70:68
9. Nalbandian - Wish he'd won that Wimbledon... sucks that he's been plagued by injuries... 8 wins against Federer :worship:
10. Djokovic - I loved him when he was #3. I always wanted him to break through. But I did not want him to win EVERYTHING. That's kind of annoying.

Dishonorable mention to Thomas Muster. Keep on trying at Vienna. It will never happen.

Nice to see that you included reasons for your decisions :)

Re: 2012 MTF Top 10 Favourite Active Players (2nd update in #120)

Here's my reasons:

1) Raonic: same temperament as me; the nerdy, mathematical kid w/ an intense secret weapon. i like that.

2) Gulbis: coolest and most genuine guy i've seen on tour; tomic and dolgo only wish they could be as effortlessly cool ..

3) Roddick: an unapologetic American; upfront, puts reporters in their place; an easy target for scapegoat seekers

4) Federer: just classic; one-of-a-kind, legend, never will be another

5) Soderling: power game that's missing at the top; easily ignored by glory hunters but deserves a lot more respect than he's been given

6) Melzer: underrated; never expects more than earned; cool with playing qualies and having only a few twitter followers even though he's top 20 material

7) Ferrer: discipline personified; example of pure will & integrity overcoming the odds

8) Harrison: hard-working and extremely competitive; yet a lot more respectful of his peers, opponents, and the game than most others

9) Petzschner: artist w/ great hands and a beautiful game and personality.. errors and all :)

10) Tipsarevic: philosophical truth-seeker; excellent speaker and mind, even though he overrates nietzsche and dostoyevsky

 Really tough to say, I'm quite indifferent generally speaking... watching a match I usually favor one guy over the other, but it happens during a match, not before it.

1 - Tsonga
2 - Llodra
3 - Verdasco
4 - Gulbis
5 - Kubot
6 - Isner
7 - Anderson
8 - Fish
9 - Melzer
10 - Raonic
