Yeah ... I think Bulgaria need to beat USA with a good score and Denmark to beat Czech republic. The chances are small, but they did very well in those two matches and I hope they'll do the same against USA They made Bulgaria proud and that's more important!
That's the best I've ever seen him play! That was amazing! Everything was perfect and the errors were just a few!
Even that big win - the next 24 hours will be very tough for him. First they will play a doubles match, then he will flight to Sydney where from 1:00 AM CET that night he will face Jurgen Zopp. If he wins he will play then another match after some rest :x
Wow, sounds like an amazing match from Grigor, i was thinking he had a good chance of winning but that scoreline is really alot better than i thought it would be.
We should keep a running tally of Dynamitrovs 2012 achievments, and i think "First win over a top 10 player" should go right at the top!
Grisho did play a great game today but all my hope now is that he can catch the flight to Sydney and get enough rest. His game against Zopp will take place on 11 tomorrow morning
yeah, I hope he does too, but wouldn't really blame him if he lose badly cause all this travelling and emotions may affact him. It will be good to have at least one more match before AO, nevertheless . Good luck, Grisho!
I watched Grigor's single's match during my lunch break and he was fantastic. Unfortunately I missed the mixed doubles but it sounded quite eventful. I hope there a video of this on Youtube. It sounds like Fish was definitely in the wrong as he went over to Grigor's chair at the change-over. I just hope Grigor doesn't get into trouble as well.
Fish, who also lost in straight sets to Czech Tomas Berdych on Wednesday, directed angry words at Dimitrov while the pair were shaking hands after the singles at Burswood Dome.
During the doubles, Fish appeared to hit a ball straight at the Bulgarian and then approached him as he sat in a chair during a change of ends.
Dimitrov jumped to his feet and the two men argued fiercely before the match referee rushed on to the court and stood between them. It was nearly a minute before order was restored.
Fish really spoiled the Grisho's win over him with this kind of attitude. I though Grigor was very kind with him during the match seeing how much frustrated Mardy was and when he got a luck net cord he approched to the net and appologiesd...really Grigor said in an intwerview with Bulgarian National TV that Mardy said some words during the match and the handshake which were not nice and also commented that apparatnly beeing a top 10 player you can afford those kind of behavior without any sort of warnings. Grigor is hot tempered, we now that and that's probably why at the end he reacted to Mardy's provocation, however I really think it wasn't his fault for this unpleasant situation. I hope Grisho will keep the positive memory over that match and not so much on that incident.
I really want to see a video of this incident. If anyone taped it, can you please upload it to Youtube? Fish comes off looking really bad in that slideshow.
