Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

I dont understand How Ivo Klec is ranked so high, ive seen him play live on clay and watched livestreams of him on hardcourts and he has a very poor game, makes tons of easy ue's. He was favourite against Lemke and got beat 1-6 1-6 :tape:
I would say hard courts are his best surface too. I like Ivo, but he is extremely up and down. He has an aggressive game and obviously that doesn't always work. Lemke has quite an uninspired game, but he probably played smart and let the Slovak-German self-destruct.

Honestly, Ivo should probably call it quits and coach some WTA player.

Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

I've heard Klec is a party animal who travels the world for fun.

He's capable of some good tennis but mostly he doesn't really give a shit I think.
Yeah, he often goofballing around the courts, so I can definitely see him tearing it up at the player's parties :tape:

Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

Looks like the top half finalist is between Millman and Ward. Jones has a really easy draw to the semis but should bow out then.

The bottom half of the draw seems pretty open, in my opinion. Great chance for Barton to break through here.

Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

millman has a great chance to get into the final. he is the only seeded player on the top half of the draw. step by step, first of all close your 2nd round match, come on

Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

This is probably a very hard Challenger for players to get to , must cost a lot to get there. Bet that,s why the lists always weak !
The main reason is probably that Challenger players aren't going to wait around for two weeks after they lost in qualifying (or one week if they qualified and then lost in the first week of the AO) for this event when they can play in Bucaramanga, Heilbronn or Maui instead.

Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

This event was immediately rendered irrelevant the moment Gooch didn't sign up. I understand he has to save us in DC, but are we really doubting he can't be in two places at once?

Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

This challenger stinks ;)
Did anybody see what happened with the ballboy in the Barton/Polansky match? Barton stopped play to tell the umpire the ballboy should go to the washroom, then he turned around and was like "he pissed himself on the court"

haha funny stuff
Prophetic, mike 9966.

Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

Really good stuff in the 2nd and 3rd sets from Barton. Polansky was tired from playing 6 sets in one day, but Barton was really bringing the game to him in the 3rd.

yeah, anyway barton also played 6 sets today, plus doubles match later. peter should be fitter than this i think. anyway, it was not a bad week, qfs points. it was so windy today according to his twitter so...
