Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

I was expecting some players outside oceania-asia to stay here for a few weeks, in order vulture some points, but but seems like a typical Asian challenger with lots of aussies in it.

Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

Yay Alex Bolt I think this is your first main draw at Challenger level, fair sure the whole draw will hate to meet you round 1 or 2.

Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

The WCs are poor, but I'm not sure if there's much in the QD that would have been a better choice. And I'm guessing guys like Saville, Kyrgios and Kokkinakis didn't want to play.

Re: Week 5 : Burnie (Entry list)

Final Qualifying Round

Michael Look AUS [1] beat Ryan Agar AUS [5] 6-1 6-7 6-1
Jordan Thompson AUS beat Jacob Grills AUS [8] 4-6 7-5 6-1
Michael Venus NZL [3] beat Jack Schipanski AUS [7] 6-3 6-2
James Lemke AUS [4] beat Simon Ede AUS [6] 6-1 7-5

Three qualifiers brings the total of Australians to 19 (59% of the draw) Glad to see James qualify though. He's not a worldbeater by any means, but a hard-working guy.

The positive issue is that is going to help several Australian players to gain easier points this and the following week in Adelaide. It´s a pity that some players that did it on the MD of the AO didn´t stay there as Lu is doing.
