Expect this match to be played on Hard in Sydney, Hewitt at home, comfortable, and gives us every possible chance to advance (taking into Hewitt's good record at the Medibank International as well). As for the second singles spot Luczak's spot is a bit up in the air, he has a ridiculous amount of points to defend between now and September so Luczak's ranking could really be anywhere at that point. Perhaps if Tomic can have a good American summer then maybe they will pick him. Either way I expect Australia to win the tie 3-2 with the third day still having live rubbers.

I don't think they will pick Pete, they have never showed that much faith in him at this level and for this tie maybe they would be right in that. Gooch, Ball or Tomic will be the 2nd player in my opinion and I reckon it will come down to a live 4th rubber with Hewitt securing it for us. I'd love for it to be played in Sydney.
