- Jose Pereira from Brasil won a future in his country, beating Campozano and Kon.

- Nicolas Pastor (Arg) reached the semifinal in the same tournament, beating Valverde

- Nikala (or Nikila ?) Scholtz from South Africa beat Igor Sijsling in the first round of Johannesburg challenger

- Alex Domijan beat Daniel Evans in the first round of Baton Rouge challenger

- Emilio Gomez beat Eduardo Struvay in the first round of Pereira challenger

- Wu Di reached a future quarterfinal in China

- Lim Yong Kyu reached a future quarterfinal in Korea
