Default Changing your forehand?

Anyone got any tips when trying to change your forehand? Ive hit it double handed for a year now and while its very steady and rarely lets me down, its no weapon and I barely hit winners off it. My one handed has always been a very awkard shot, but recently Ive looked at Soderlings swing and tried to copy it. I havent played a match with it yet but it still feels a bit dodgy, even though I can hit with so much power off it now. Any idea how best to ease into using it, or should I just practice practice practice?
