What could be interesting are similar statistics (mostly similar to the 4th post) but which ignore the defeats in the finals (as it would obviously be against the eventual winner
).
It could really give a hint at which players were underrated. A finalist is not necessarily better than the semi finalist beaten by the future winner.
But with a rapid look, I think Lendl would still be n°1
