There also was a short interview on the ES website:
Since the medical tests of last week showed an inflammation of the knee, he couldn't resume the training on Monday like he was supposed to. The doc told him to rest a few days and then go on with the rehab in the gym and in the swimming pool. It's a bit dull, but he's still in good spirits.
He always had the Games in mind to keep going. Now he will focus on the USO. He feels ready to come back at a Grand Slam without playing any tournament before. He already did it in the past.
About the AO final, he admits it's something special, he thought he would be able to "digest" it quite easily, but it's true it isn't so easy.
The goal: to win a title, why not?
He doesn't have any points to defend until the US Open anyway. He has some points to defend after the USO, but he doesn't worry about that. If he plays well, he will defend them.
