Well as for his withdrawing from the event, well he could have done it earlier. Don't know what kind of illness it was.

Facts are this, he didn't retire from matches, because he was playing shit. He was offered wildcards at the Italian clay challengers, but he refused the offer, as he wasn't going to play. So take what you want from that.
