An average high temperature of Melbourne in January is mere 79F/26C, which is very nice and playable weather.. An average high temperature of July at Indian Wells is 107F/42C.. Do you even know what is it like?

Well I was in Indian Wells in 2004 around the time of this tournament and it was close to 100F every day. Of course this year it was a lot cooler. There's no way they could play in the desert in the summer. Though some of the tournies this year like Indy were probably just as bad because the temp was 90F+ with humidity.
