Narrowly avoided the biggest choke ever against a friend trying a new racquet. Won the first set 6-2, routine stuff. He's an error machine and I'm on fire, and soon it is 6-2 *5-0 30-0. At 30-30, I have a sitter with the whole court, hit it right back to him. From 30-0 that game, I lose 24 of the next 28 points to be down *5-6 (I also have 0-30 with him serving at 3-5), where I promptly go up 40-0, hating myself. Then go up *5-1 in the tiebreak, miss a sitter. Suddenly it is *5-4. Decide to just retire after losing set to avoid killing myself. Telling myself it is over seems to help, as I hit a very big serve he just tips then while still telling myself I am certain to lose hit a big second serve followed by a dropshot to win it.
So what looks like a sure 6-2 6-0 became 6-2 7-6(4)
