CBS, ESPN, Tennis Channel to Air 47 Hours of Action

MIAMI - The 2005 NASDAQ-100 Open will feature 47 hours of live and taped domestic television coverage for nine of the 12 days of the event on four networks: CBS, ESPN, ESPN2 and The Tennis Channel.

Both the menís and womenís finals will be broadcast live on CBS, with Bill Macatee and Mary Carillo calling the action for both the menís and womenís final. Local favorite Mary Joe Fernandez will serve as the sideline reporter for both CBS telecasts.

The womenís final is set for Noon Saturday, April 2 while the menís final, a best-of-five set match, is scheduled for Sunday, April 3 at Noon.

ESPN and ESPN2 will combine for 30 hours of live and taped coverage over six days. ESPNís coverage begins with third round matches Sunday, March 27. The ESPN family concludes its coverage by airing the two menís semifinal matches live on ESPN2 Friday, April 1. Cliff Drysdale, Patrick McEnroe and Mary Joe Fernandez will be in the booth. ESPN has covered this tournament since its inception 21 years ago.

The Tennis Channel marks its second year covering the NASDAQ-100 Open by once again bringing viewers wall-to-wall coverage of second-round action on the Stadium Court on Saturday, March 26. The networkís live coverage will begin at 11 am. Sam Gore, Katrina Adams, Jimmy Arias and Bud Collins will announce.

ABOUT THE NASDAQ-100 OPEN:
The 2005 NASDAQ-100 Open will be played March 23- April 3 at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in Miami. The 12-day combined event, founded by Butch Buchholz in 1985, is owned by IMG and operated by IMGís Miami office. The NASDAQ-100 Open is one of nine ATP Masters Series events on the ATP calendar, a top tier event on the Sony Ericsson WTA TOUR calendar, and features the top men's and women's tennis players in the world. In 2004, Andy Roddick defeated Guillermo Coria to win for the first time in Miami. Serena Williams returned from injury to defend her title and win her third consecutive NASDAQ-100 Open championship.
