The World Championships have just begun. Norway managed to win the mixed relay ahead of France, with the arranging Czech Republic taking a most welcome bronze medal. Both the Russians and the Germans, perennial medal favourites, were surprisingly far off the pace. The Russians were at least in the lead after the first two (female) laps, but faded quickly afterwards.

Who do you think will win? My money is on Martin Fourcade in the men's and Miriam Gössner in the women's. But as a Norwegian I hope either Emil Hegle Svendsen or Tora Berger can challenge also.
