Well, I add to the thread new info about what has been doing Nadal these days and what will do this week.
Nadal was training last week in the Real Club Esportiu de Barcelona (the tennis club that he belongs) during three days. Then he returned to Mallorca, and he continued practising in the Club de Tenis de Manacor (his first club, the club where he started to play tennis). He posted a pic of a training session where he said that he was trying to practice. Some people were worried about this, because they thought that something was wrong, but it was because of the bad weather that we had in Spain this weekend. The pic was:
(we can see how bad is the clay on the baseline because of the rain)
Then, the most important thing: tomorrow he'll fly to Barcelona
to practice again at the Real Club Esportiu de Tenis, but not with people around TOP300 (like the last time). He'll be training with players that have played in the Australian Open and are out of the tournament and he'll practice with maximum intensity, as a simulation of the real level of competition
. It is expected to be the last challenge for Rafa before flying to Viña del Mar, something that he'll do on 1-2 of February.
Greatest tennis shot I have ever seen
“What do people do when they go out? They get drunk. To go out and not drink, I don’t understand it. If you go to a nightclub, what is to enjoy there? Nothing. The music is too loud, everybody’s sweating, everybody’s dancing, it’s dark, everybody’s pushing, everybody’s drunk. And if you’re the only guy sober in the nightclub, you don’t enjoy it at all. If you’re into the groove, you know, you have a couple drinks, you’re on the same level as the club, you can sometimes get something positive out of it. But it’s not what I like. I prefer to stay in my friends’ company, invite girls over.” Ernests Gulbis
