Tignor makes a little mistake here : Gasquet-Nadal was a semifinal of "Les Petits As" in 1999.

The final was Gasquet against ... Brian Baker.

Baker had defeated Berdych in the other semi.

Tsonga, Almagro, Wawrinka and Baghdatis also played that tournament the same year.

Nadal won the tournament next year in 2000. Murray lost the final in 2001 to the unknown today Alexandre Krasnoroutski (Djokovic had lost in quarters, Del Po in R16)

Gasquet is the youngest winner the tournament has ever had. The second one was the much hyped Spaniard Carlos Boluda-Purkiss in 2006.
