It is a huge outdoor mall by 101 and Tatum Blvd. Nearby is a Marriot Resort at Desert Ridge. Not high end like the Scottsdale Fashion Square. More like a place for local with shops like Barnes and Noble, Target, Sports Authority, Kohl, JoAnn, etc. The City of Phoenix invested in developing a more high end and mixing residential and retail place next to the mall called City North. Before the housing market collapsed and economy bust, Bloomingdale was planned to open it's first store here in 2009
