most of our lower ranked players are back in Australia now for the futures tournaments starting in Cairns this week. some of the players i'm looking out for would be Saville, Feeney and Kokkinakas after having fairly solid results overseas since the Australian futures at the start of the year (not so much with Kokkinakis... but he should still do reasonably well in these). no real surprise results after the first round except for Whittington beating Barton 2-6 7-5 6-0 and 15 year old Omar Jasika winning his first ranking point beating Austin Karosi from America 6-2 6-2.
