Physically, Nadal - but how good would Bolt be if he were to run sideways instead of a straight line?

Maybe the better comparison is in terms of mental strength, and resilience. In terms of mental strength, Nadal has a shot. In terms of resilience over time - given the limit in the prime age of a hundred meter athlete, Bolt's back-to-back gold is comparable to Roger's resurgence to #1 when no one expected that.
