Default Re: THE pictures thread

Well, I am certainly one lucky Gilles fan. Was lucky enough to get tickets for the olympic tennis for Tuesday and Wednesday. Was extremely excited and got more than I could have EVER hoped for.

I had seen Gilles play previously at Wimbledon which was awesome, PHM retired though so didn't see that much however. Didn't think i'd be lucky enough to see him again but the scheduling gods were kind and court 2 wasn't ticketed. But that's not the best part!

I was wandering around the practice courts on tuesday(which were DESERTED, it was disgusting the amount empty seats and lack of people around Wimbledon but AMAZING to see so many players up close) and anyway there's Gilles and Thierry wandering over to court 10 to practice. There was only about a dozen of us watching him, and then he seemed to finish up, but was on his phone for about 20 minutes. I hung around for a bit and most autograph hunters seemed to get bored but not me! He ended up going out the back entrance but I skipped round the back and another girl had asked him for a photo but he was still holding his phone to his ear (not talking though) and he said he would sign. He signed a couple, INCLUDING ME, and whizzed off. And oh my word is he gorgeous face to face.

Here are some photos, they aren't that great

Anyone recognise the woman in the background? Gilles kept chatting/laughing with her whilst practicing.

And here is my most prized possesion ever, haha.

Top one is Berdych who was absolutely lovely, second one is Roddick. Some of you probably know how much I adore Roddick as well, and after Wimbledon this year i'd resigned myself to the fact I would never see him live before he retired. Until this wonderful olympics came along and I happened to bump into him practicing. He was moody because he had to cut his practice due to rain, and only signed for two people but I don't care, one of them was me! I got to meet and see my two favourite players of all time play.

Best day ever

Oh, and this is the closest I got to a photo with him. I'm on the left
