Default Re: Lleyton Hewitt 2012

“It was good fun playing with Lleyton and we tried our best but it wasn’t to be,” said Stosur.

“It was pretty tight and those super tie breaks can go any way and we definitely had the lead and the momentum and I probably got a bit tight on one of those returns there to go down match point and things can turn pretty quickly.”

“That is mixed doubles, we lost by two points, mixed doubles can go either way, it is only one or two points here or there,” Hewitt said.

The triple Olympians will depart England tomorrow to prepare for their next respective tournaments on the WTA and ATP Tour.

“It has been another great Olympic experience, it is just a shame that we were not able to do a little better,” Stosur said. “It is great to have the opportunity to mix with other athletes and sports and to represent Australia.

“I was lucky enough to be able to get out to see some other sports but I have to head off tomorrow to begin another tournament in Montreal on Tuesday ahead of the US Open.”
