Nalbandian vidare efter rysarmatch





Tisdagens matcher bjöd på spel av tre If Stockholm Open-segrare och två tidigare finalister. Dagens höjdpunkt blev matchen mellan David Nalbandian och Xavier Malisse där argentinaren efter två räddade matchbollar och två timmar och 41 minuters spel segrade med 4–6, 7–6, 7–6.

Belgian Malisse won the first set with 6-4 but lost since the second by 6-7. When Nalbandian had a chance to serve the home match in the third game Malisse managed to break his serve and the set had to be decided in the tiebreak. But even there was Nalbandian strongest and stood as the final victor after more than two and a half hour of play.

- It was a tough match, I tried to play aggressive and I'm glad I could win, Nalbandian said after the match.
