Paire has qualified for Barcelona, beating Conor Niland 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 in the first round and Marsei Ilhan in the second 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(5). Looked like a battle.
He will play WC Carreno-Busta ranked 283 in the world, so has a high chance to make the second round where he's likely to meet Montanes.
