Summary of Kei's quotes in the Japanese press:
(There's no interview transcript and his remarks are quoted freely in various orders to fit in their stories.)

*Kei used to get a stomach pain when he was nervous before a match. Yesterday, he felt the pain for the first time in a long while, probably he got nervous because he hasn't played in such a big stadium for a while.
*He felt strongly that there is a large gap between a top 10 player and himself. It came as a big shock to him; there are many aspects of the game he needs to improve. He feels frustrated and thinks he must work harder.
*He got the pain in the right hip after Verdasco moved him side to side in the first set.
*From the second set, he tried to play more aggressive, but ended up making many UEs.
*Currently, he is putting importance on improving his defence, but he can't win without being aggressive. He wants to be able to make the right decision when to go attacking.
*Still, there are some good shots during the match. All he needs to do now is practice more.
