Re: WWW Miami SF: Murray vs Berdych

Muzza's serve and FH have looked a bit shaky, tbh. Will probably have to get in Berdy's head again to see this out...

Gut says Tomas in 3.

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2015 Thread

None of the quarters were close, shame. Guptill's innings was quite something though.

Hopefully the semis are more interesting...

Re: Andy Murray is OUT of Monte-Carlo, IN for Munich

It's because Muzz will be tying the knot during MC.

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2015 Thread

Jimmy Anderson has never fared too well with the Kookaburra. More to the point, our bowlers are samey - no left armers in sight, nobody who regularly bowls express pace (north of 145kph) and we're...

Re: Valencia R1: (1) Ferrer def. Seppi 6-3 7-5

36 shot rally early in the second was the turning point.

Just a bad matchup for Seppi, his extremely predictable grinding style plays Ferrer into form and becomes a UE machine when he tries to...

Re: Valencia R1: Murray defeats Melzer 6-3 6-3

Murray basically won without a second serve - a couple of DFs meant he was rolling it in extremely short. Only in the last game did he get any depth.

Return game was on, some lovely CC BHs. BH DTL...

Re: Queens R1: Evans def. Melzer 6-3 6-7(5) 7-6(2)

Evo really got out of jail at 4-4 in the final set, came up with a sliced BH pass at BP down. :worship:

Went up a mb in the final set TB and didn't let it slip this time...allez.

Re: Rome QF: M Raonic[8] def. J. Chardy - 6-3 5-7 6-2

Milos was moving pretty well for his standards, hitting the BH DTL on occasion. Should've closed it out in straights but he got really tight.

Chardy's net game

Re: Aljaz Bedene to switch allegiances to Great Britain

Burnt his bridges with Slovenia? He'd defo be an upgrade over Evo/Wardy for those troublesome clay ties.

Interesting stuff. There was a shitstorm when Rusedski switched from Canada to GB in the...

Re: Monte Carlo [QF]: Wawrinka def. Raonic 7-6(5) 6-2

I knew someone would get a still of Milos at the net :haha:

There were two net cords in the TB, in consecutive points from 3-4. First one went against Stan (FH hit the tape, didn't go over) and the...

Re: What are your five favorite TV shows of all time?

I liked Downton Abbey but I felt it lost its way. Series 1 remains the high-water mark for me.

Actually, I could say the same for Homeland.

BIB - have you seen The Returned (Les Revenants)? The...

Re: IW R4: Djokovic def. Cilic 1-6 6-2 6-3

Nole flirted with a bagel in the first set, he was so poor. Finally looked like himself in the latter stages.

Marin lost momentum with a soft break early in the second. Missed opportunity...

Re: 2014 Live commentary thread vol5

Some quality rallies in the 2nd set of RBA/Berdych. RBA up a double break, *4-1

Berd getting frustrated.

Re: Acapulco R1: Querrey def Tigre Hank 6-7(5) 6-4 6-3

Tigre could've pulled this off if he'd taken Querrey to another TB.

Sadly in both the second and third sets he coughed up the early break.

Re: Winter Olympic Games 2014

GB gave proper funding to our bob programme for once. They've worked with McLaren and BAe Systems (Formula One team, aerospace company).

We're catching up to the US, Russia and Germany. :D

Re: Winter Olympic Games 2014

Canada were by far the better team in the curling yesterday - two of our guys didn't turn up at all (Andrews and sadly, skip Murdoch). Once we failed to get our two in the 2nd end things turned sour...

Re: Winter Olympic Games 2014

So Team Edin takes the bronze. Pleased for him as he narrowly missed out in Vancouver.

China played pretty well but made a few glaring errors with the finishing line in sight. Two hog line...

Re: Winter Olympic Games 2014

That was a hilarious photo finish. :haha:

The boarder/ski cross events are always good fun. :yeah:

Edin won the World Championships in 2013, so I'd agree that he is the best in the world. When...
