Re: Lleyton's hardcourt season 2015

I watched the doubles match. Lleyton couldn't serve at all and got broken all four times. He was clearly the weak link and kept prodding and massaging his shoulder. It was the worst I've ever seen...

Re: Lleyton's Press Conference

Yeah, surely he'll want to compete at Wimbledon one more time!

Re: Lleyton's hardcourt season 2015

With Australia now having plenty of options in DC (with the often mentioned young guns, the blooming of Groth and with Mato starting to win matches in best of 5 format) I wonder if there's any chance...

Re: Lleyton's Press Conference

Wow. I wasn't worried by al of the commentators predicting retirement but comments like "I'll sit back and assess everything after this tournament" do make me wonder.

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

I agree. He's come so far to get to this point of having a shot at cracking the top 100. To chase the AO and damage the knees would be heartbreaking when he has the golden swing and possibly RG to...

Re: Will Lleyton Hewitt go deep in a slam or M1000 in 2015?

No. Lleyton played and moved well this year, but since DC in February has been struggling with his shoulder and has hit more DF's than aces. You can't make a slam QF hitting more DF's than aces...

Re: Newport Final: Hewitt def. Karlovic 6-3, 6-7(4), 7-6(3)

A bit late but I wanted to say, hell yeah!! Congrats to Rusty on finally bagging that Newport title after losing two finals in tough circumstances. Made up for it by winning two finals there in the...

Re: Who could pull a Soderling on Nadal at Roland Garros?

Tsonga just hasn't looked like a player capable of that since his loss to Ferrer in the semis last year. If his mind is right and body is strong, then who knows.

Fog's got the game to win a French...

Re: Tennis players that peak during the training session.

Youzhny. Apparently he used to routinely destroy the top guys in practice sets, painting lines for fun.

Re: Houston R1: Hewitt def. Polansky 6-4 3-6 6-4

It wasn't pretty. Another break fest for Hewitt but more understandable today in windy conditions. He looked pretty happy to get the win.

Re: Miami R4: Murray def. Tsonga 6-4 6-1

I could be wrong here, but I don't think Jo has recovered from his semi final whipping against Ferrer at the French last year. He looked lost that day and he hasn't found himself or his game yet. If...

Re: The six greatest servers of all time

It's too tough to compile a definitive list of the greatest servers. Even if you use ace count per game, unreturnable serves, double faults etc, you still can't account for players capitalizing on...

Re: Miami R2: [1]Nadal destroys Hewitt 6-1 6-3

Yeah. At this stage, unless he hits consistently deep, Hewitt needs a low bouncing court, preferably a fast one too, in order to trouble good players. I'm not shocked at the outcome but it was so...

Re: Players that played ATP matches while hungover

Bob Bryan against Adreev in DC dead rubber. Bob was the least hungover of the American team so he played. Don't know if Andreev was hung over or just not interested at all, because he lost the match.

Re: Lleyton's hardcourt season 2014

Missed the match. Last I saw at work was the scoreline, with Lleyton down a set and a break. Got home to see Rusty had pulled out another win, a 600th. Delighted to hear it was signed with a lob as...

Re: WWW Nadal vs Hewitt Miami R2

If Hewitt's shoulder/serving holds up then it'll be competitive, if not it could be an absolute pasting (something like 6-2 6-1, with 2 of those games being breaks of serve). Lleyton is a fan of...

Re: Lleyton's hardcourt season 2014

Much better performance from Lleyton so I'm not too upset. After he said that his shoulder wasn't 100%, he served pretty well today so hopefully it's on the mend and is 100% for Miami or the clay :)
