Re: Any other Murray fans feel extremely frustrated about this season?

Murray's well on his way to carving out his legacy as the best number 2 ever. That, perhaps would sum up his career.

Re: Nadal never had his own era

Nadal was at 2 in 2005. Why didn't he beat all these talentless mugs and pushers? It took him 3 years to reach number one. If we start from Nadal's GS in 2005, why didn't he get to number one by...

Re: Nadal never had his own era

Federer on clay = 211-66 76.17
Nadal on grass = 58-17 77.33

Is one loss worth the extra 150 wins? Fed on clay > Nadal on Grass.

Nadal is only slightly worse on grass than hard, but has only...

Re: Nadal never had his own era

So why didn't Nadal do the same? He sat as 2 for over 3 years.

Re: Nadal never had his own era

You can't even reach the conversation without 200+ weeks at number one.

Re: Nadal never had his own era

If you put eras around ages, it's clear that the Nadal era never happened. Nadal, like McEnroe, Becker and Agassi never had an era.

Eras:

Connors/Borg/Lendl/Edberg/Sampras/Guga/Federer/Djokovic.

Re: Hamburg R1: [3] RBA def. Coric 6-3,6-4

Coric lost to a top 20 player in RBA. Suddenly the sky is falling?

Is that what they are calling it these days?

Re: Is Murray overhyped on grass?

Then we have our answer. Mooza > Nole.

Re: Is Murray overhyped on grass?

Are you daring to suggest that head to head isn't relevant to assessing relative strengths? For shame! :p

Re: Is Murray overhyped on grass?

It's clear to me that Murray is the better grass player. Given that head to head on grass is the only thing that matters, Murray is 2-0 vs Nole on Grass.

Ergo Murray > Nole on Grass. As it was...

Re: Tomic #16 in the race. Nick #26. Kokk #60

Seems to me senseless when you're in a DC semi not to get everyone on board.

Re: Grand Slam Game: For every F win, you claim pts equal to your opponent's GS count

FWIW, this measures the second derivative, and not the first - change in slams over time rather than (total slams).

Well, I quite don't agree with that either. If he's happy, why change?

Re: Bogota SF: Mannarino def. Karlovic 7-6(7-5), 7-6(7-5)

Ok, so Fed's the leader in TBs played? What are the stats for total aces? I know Fed's up there as well.

Has Federer surpassed Roddick yet? I know he's passed the 9k mark. Only Karlobot and Goran...

Re: Reasons to dislike Federer

Sampras is not the GOAT on grass. Federer is better than Sampras, but I think that Connors has achieved more than Federer on Grass. More GS wins on Grass, and it's not close. Connors has even won...

Re: Hamburg Main Draw

Denadalizing? I suppose the definition is, "eliminating Nadal from tournaments which are considered less prestigious".
