Re: how about nadal in Spain

Yeah, I agree football is king but there's nothing as big as Nadal now. He's all over the place, He's the image of at least 3 different companies with running advertising campaigns now; Pantene,...

Re: The perfect player

There was a very similar thread like this not too long ago...

Now, about your list...it makes me wonder how long you've watching tennis (and believe it or not, I'm a Nadal fan).

I guess this list...

Re: Uncle Toni: "Rafa is at a second or third level history wise"

I agree with Toni, I'd put Sampras out there on the top of my list, but other than that I do agree.

Whoever said Nadal should be on the same level as Kafelnikov, Courier or Kuerten is on crack....

Re: Nadal - the new blueprint for future tennis champions?

As much as I like Nadal, Federer has more touch and volleying is all about touch really. Having said that, Nadal has really improved on that aspect. He's coming to the net more these days (6-7 times...

Re: Sony Ericsson Open (Miami)/ The Favorites

Usual suspects; Nadal (depending on whether he wins or not today), Murray, Fedex, Roddick (or Tsongá)

Verdasco and Nalbandian are strong contenders too...Either could take him (Nadal) out at Miami...

Re: IW Final: Nadal vs. Murray - WWW?

I can't believe I'm saying this...but...

Murray in 2.

Murray has not played well this week, but neither Rafa has. Nadal is trying to be more aggressive - specially the last two matches - but making...

Re: Rotterdam F: Murray def. Nadal 6-3 4-6 6-0

To me it looks like Murray reads Nadal's game better than Federer. I've noticed Andy was wrongfooted just once today...

Re: Rotterdam F: Murray def. Nadal 6-3 4-6 6-0

Something I've noticed about today's match (at least, a technical aspect).

I've always known Murray's gotta a great backhand but today I realized it's way better than his forehand. Anyone agree?...

Re: Rotterdam F: Murray def. Nadal 6-3 4-6 6-0

Everytime I read anything from you makes me want to vomit.

Anyway, as for the match, it's obvious Nadal got injured at the beginning of the second set. First set Murray played better than Rafa....

How many more lame excuses are you going to come up with?

What if Nadal beats him today? are you going to come here to post something along the lines of "all credit to Nadal, but...

Re: Rotterdam Final- Rafa v Murray

Spot on!

He is also aware of his liabilities and humble enough to say in pretty much interview I've seen with him when asked about his goals in 2009. "Keep improving my game".

Sure some may think...

Re: Should Federer man up and play at Queens this year?

I think it also has to do with getting pumped for wimbledon by winning a tournament he's won for the past what? 6 years in a row?

Federer has won back to back Halle/Wimbly for 5 years straight, so...

Re: Rotterdam Final- Rafa v Murray

In order to beat Rafa you gotta play a pretty good match on hard court. Close to perfection.

Tsongá played the match of his life in the AO'08 semis and destroyed Rafa.

Davidenko played the match of...

Re: Rotterdam Final- Rafa v Murray

I don't think no one can handle flat hitters on a good day (Nadal maybe is the only one).

Look at Verdasco. He had 100 winners against Rafa in the AO semis and Nadal still managed to win that match....

Re: Rotterdam Final- Rafa v Murray

Sure, you are entitled to have one, so am I.

It's true Murray has improved a whole lot since Wimbly. I believe the key match in Murray's progression was not the final against Novak in Cincy, but the...

Re: Rotterdam Final- Rafa v Murray

Haven't you ever noticed that all those losses we are referring to have come 95% of the times later in the season? I briefly recall Nadal losing against Davidenko last year in Miami and then to...

To me an ass kicking is what Rafa did to Murray in Wimbledon...wouldn't you agree? But I guess you are going to say Andy had...

Re: Rotterdam Final- Rafa v Murray

Yeah, he has been beaten before on hard court by those players you mentioned; also Ferrer, Federer, Tsonga, Blake beat him...but losing against those players does not mean he is not the best.

He's...

Re: Rotterdam Final- Rafa v Murray

I find funny how Rafa is not considered the favorite by the members of MTF when he's up against a top player. When he played against Federer in the AO, Roger had the most votes (Rafa won), when Rafa...

Re: Rotterdam QF- R. Nadal defeats J-W Tsonga 6-4. 6-7(5). 6-4

Yeah I know. Appearance money is probably higher in Nadal's case than prize money if he does win in Dubai, but the season is long. Nadal's already winning a lot of matches so it could be reasonable,...

Re: Rotterdam QF- R. Nadal defeats J-W Tsonga 6-4. 6-7(4). 6-4

Hey, hold your horses, I'm on your side. Rafa Nadal is my favorite player, probably just like yours.

The only thing I said is "he may not play Dubai". Now, whether I'm wrong or right we won't know...

Re: Rotterdam QF- R. Nadal defeats J-W Tsonga 6-4. 6-7(4). 6-4

Last year he lost in second round though. He beat Tursunov and then lost to Seppi.

This year he's already in the points so the more the merrier. Like I said earlier, if he wins this, he may not play...

Re: Rotterdam QF- R. Nadal defeats J-W Tsonga 6-4. 6-7(4). 6-4

...And a better down-the-line backhand. His cross-court backhand's gotten pretty good. It worked very well against Federer last month. However, his down-the line-backhand, being good, it's not up to...

Re: Rotterdam QF- R. Nadal defeats J-W Tsonga 6-4. 6-7(4). 6-4

I saw the match and Rafa was way more aggressive tonight than in the earlier round matches. When you play against the likes of Tsongá, Tursunov, Gulbis...there's no way you are going to him more...
