Re: Wawrinka predicts no CYGS for Djokovic.

I think the price on Nole to win 4 Slams in 2015 is around 4.50-5.00 with most bookmakers.

Re: Rotterdam R1: Baghdatis def. (4) Goffin 6-1 5-7 7-6(5)

Does Goffin get an electrical shock when he comes too close to the net?

Re: Guardian - Tennis Umpires Secretly Banned in Gambling Scam

Umpires taking bribes from betting syndiactes is not an integrity and corruption issue? Haha you are a funny guy.

That doesn't mean it will affect our enjoyment when watching a Slam semifinal.

Re: Rotterdam R32: [Q] Dodig d [7] Paire 6-3 7-6 (4)

Paire only tanked one game in the match. Pretty good commitment.

Re: 2016 Live Commentary Thread vol. 3

He regularly has matches where his baseline game just disappears. Not the first time.

Re: Sofia R2: [6] Muller def. Berankis 7-5 7-6(4)

You never know with Muller, his level varies so much from one match to another. This was crap though, Berankis should be ashamed.

Re: BBC: Evidence suggests match fixing rife in Tennis

Most bookmakers opened 1.22-1.25 Groth. They were eventually corrected by punters.

Re: Quito R1: Ram def. Zeballos 6-4 7-6(6)

Yes he did. Not sure Ram would beat Rafa on clay though...

Re: Montpellier R2: [WC 8] Baghdatis def Taro Daniel 6-2 7-6 (7)

Daniel should be paid disappearance fees by TDs of European indoor events.

Re: BBC: Evidence suggests match fixing rife in Tennis

Problem 2: You carry it through customs and hope for the best. I don't think tennis pros are searched very often.

They matter even more than the mental aspects.

Re: This Australian Open ended up being a huge flop

I think Djokovic's level of play in his last two matches was the only memorable thing about the tournament. The world no 1 goating doesn't make it an entertaining tournament by its own.

Re: BBC: Evidence suggests match fixing rife in Tennis

PHM has never been suspected of fixing and the markets in the Nishioka match were completely normal. That envelope could be related to sponsor, agent, whatever.

Re: BBC: Evidence suggests match fixing rife in Tennis

Tennis betting isn't big in Asia so this doesn't really tell us much.

Re: Novak Djokovic said Rafael Nadal is still the best clay court player

Very misleading title, he never said Rafa is currently the best clay courter.

He just said Rafa is the king of clay and his greatest threat, two correct statements.

Re: BBC: Evidence suggests match fixing rife in Tennis

They don't but he would probably prioritize a 500 event over doubles anyway.

Re: BBC: Evidence suggests match fixing rife in Tennis

When fixing reaches the levels of ATP finals, it concerns all tennis fans, regardless if you bet or not. Who wants to watch a match which outcome is already known on Twitter?

Re: Do you enjoy the style of modern tennis?

Agassi retired less than 10 years ago. And he was just as good in 2005 as he was in 1995. And his tennis was modern.
