Re: Will Nadal go down as the ultimate example of a 6 slam wonder?

IF his career ended today, Rafa would be considered right up there with Johnny Mac...a seven slam winner. AND, ahead of Edberg, Becker, and Wilander. Even though he has less slams than Mac and...

Re: I dont love Roger

No...those you listed were beyond arrogance...and, simply put, jackasses. Classless babies endemic of the era in which they played. You would HOPE that people would have moved beyond this...and...

Re: Who is mentally the strongest player?

Overall, Rafa BY FAR.

Over the last six months, Delpo.

Re: What would satisfy the haters?

This is true.

Fair points. However, Federer did NOT lose the 2009 AO final because of matchup or choking issues: he was simply outplayed there. And, as for Novak, Rafa DID defeat him in the...

Re: AO Final: Federer def. Murray 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(11)

No one is disputing his status on the court. He's CLEARLY the best player, career-wise and complete ability, EVER. And his records are staggering. And yes, Rafa is also one of the best...

Re: What would satisfy the haters?

NO ONE in the last 20 years of the sport other than Federer put on a display like Rafa did in 2008...where he went on a streak of more than 30 odd matches on THREE SURFACES...winning two slams...and,...

Re: AO Final: Federer def. Murray 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(11)

Glad to see we agree on one point at least. And this strength includes three setters too (look at Rafa/Novak Madrid last year...or Olympic semifinal). My point is that I want to appreciate Federer...

Re: What would satisfy the haters?

Cheating? How about his admission that he took a bathroom break for no real reason other than to break Davydenko's rhythm in the AO QF. As for gamesmanship, how about his barrage in the press about...

Re: AO Final: Federer def. Murray 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(11)

You're right: its a match-up issue of something other than the "talent" Federer refers to: heart and guts. Which Rafa simply has more of.

Re: What would satisfy the haters?

Federer, even in the eyes of someone like myself who feels he's a bullying ego maniac, cannot deny: Federer is BY FAR the best player of all time...achievement-wise. When ranking the top players of...

Re: AO Final: Federer def. Murray 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(11)

Here we go again...always attributing Federer's losses to Rafa as a result of something OTHER than the fact that Rafa is one of history's best players...and the best ever on clay. Rafa's spin IN...

Re: AO Final: Federer def. Murray 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(11)

Its amazing. People are so apt to worship at the alter of this man that if, say, Novak Djokovic did the same thing (and let's recall: he was tactless earlier in his career at times), he would be...

Re: AO Final: Federer def. Murray 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(11)

Again, seeing Andy cry...shows what has been established: he's really a nerdish type, whose outbursts are awkward because he's TRYING to be cool. He's not a bad cat...and his over-the-top stuff...

Re: AO Final: Federer def. Murray 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(11)

Federer played a VERY solid, smart tactical match. Waiting for his chances...and not going for too much off either wing until the opportunity presented itself. It was clear that he was not nervous...

Re: AO SF: Federer def. Tsonga 6-2 6-3 6-2

You're right: it was a Djokovic impersonator that kicked his rear end in Basel last year, right?

Ha!:D

Re: AO 2010 Final WWW: Federer vs Murray

Well said, but we're talking about the man who SOMEHOW keeps winning the Edberg Sportsmanship Award. He is the man who kills you while smiling...making you think he's humble because of the manner of...

Re: Who do you WANT to win the AO final?

As previously mentioned, the toilet break after getting waxed in the first.

Federer cheated. Case closed. For YEARS, people have been ripping Novak for injury timeouts and bathroom breaks, etc. ...

Re: Reasons why Murray wants Revenge on Fed

Anyone who read Federer's press conference quotes following the Tsonga win would want ANYONE to take revenge on the man. Why? Because the absence of any humility and omnipresent excuse-uttering...

Re: AO SF: Federer def. Tsonga 6-2 6-3 6-2

Um...gotta love the world wide web, right?

I agree. Federer is so smug...when there's no one to challenge him. AND YET, put him up against Rafa, Delpo, or Novak...he'll stop the...

Re: AO SF: Federer def. Tsonga 6-2 6-3 6-2

Expected blowout from the admitted cheater. Federer's "humble" act has grown increasingly stale. The Scot will make him rue his flippant comments.

Tsonga? Pathetic display. Scared from the...

Re: Nadal: out for a month... at least

Don't forget THE SERVE. The MAIN reason he's in the position he's in now.

Also, why does Rafa not choose to play tourneys like Indy and DC if he wants to get ready for hard courts...rather than go...
