Re: Pim Pim wins Marseille!!!

if he tunes up his game, he could be great. He hasn't exactly faced hard competition in his two title towns yet. We saw a bit of his 1 dimensional game in Melbourne, where he hit 51 aces... and still...

Re: Should the ATP award quality points?

I think that rather than quality points, have some sort of surface ranking system. It's absurd that Roddick should get a higher seed than Coria at Roland Garros.

Re: Malisse finally wins 1st title!!!

Ancic at No. 29 is the highest ranked titless man. and He always was. Malisse is not higher ranked than him.

Re: Which of these players will win their first ATP Main Tour singles title in 2005?

What about Gael Monfils? He hasn't been measured but if he could win Metz or some other small tournament like that. From what I've heard he is an incredible player.

Re: Young gets wildcard to San Jose!

He came within a set of qualifying for the LA Tourney last year. Hes definitely improved since then, as he lost in the first round of french open juniors and second round of wimby juniors. Now hes...

Re: When RODDICK wins San Jose and Memphis...

How he performs at Roland Garros could very well make or break his season. His clay court game needs improvement and he knows that. If he can make it to the quarters there, i think that would be...

Re: When RODDICK wins San Jose and Memphis...

i guess i may have been wrong about safin but he certainly isn't better than hewitt...at the moment. He could very well regain that no. 2 spot for all i know. I think hes got a decent shot at Wimby....

Re: The "There's no crying in tennis!" San Jose thread!

Donald Young is in the main draw? I'm guessing its a wild card. I wonder if he can do any damage.

Re: When RODDICK wins San Jose and Memphis...

I'm a Roddick fan, but he doesn't deserve No. 2 or even No. 3. He isn't capable of beating Safin or Hewitt. He needs to step up his game. The only wins he pick up are the Jurgen Melzers of the world....

Re: Donald Young- the future of American tennis

Donald lost his first round match to the 30 year old Serb Dusan Vemic in 3 sets, 6-1,2-6,6-2. Thats an encouraging result considering that Vemic is twice the age of Donald.

Haha Federer called Nalbandian's game "contra tennis" which roughly translates to ugly tennis. TENNIS Magazine compared David to Brad Gilbert, some1 who takes few risks and digs deep to find ways to...

Cool Will it be U.S., France, or Spain?

With all due respect to Belarus, cuz they're on a great run, they won't make it to the final. So really, the Davis Cup comes down to the Yanks, the French, and the Spanish armada. The Yanks caught a...

Re: Nico Lapentti thread

Nico Lapentti is past his prime. his younger bro Giovanni could probably beat him now. i admit, he used to be a good player (Top 10), but now he is not that great. He has a record of 7-15 in ATP...

he isn't playing like the No. 18 player in the world. Sure, its understandable to lose to Cyril Saulnier, but Mardy is losing matches to players he...
