Tokyo R1: [6] Cilic d. [Q] Young 7-5 5-7 6-4

Nice effort Young. Badly wanted him to win but at least he qualified. I hope he can qualify for Shanghai as well.

Re: Beijing R2: Rendy "I'm not shitting" Lu def Troicki 6-4 7-5c

More than 45 points earned at a single event. :hearts:

Re: John "the Mailman" Millman Cheering Thread

Nice draw for Djokovic. Qualifier then qualifier/wild card. Not that it matters that much.

I hope Millman gets Zhang. Those kind of odds for an ATP win and 45 points is too good to pass up.

Shenzhen Quarter-final: [2] Cilic d. Chung 7-6(6) 6-4

Watched the second half of the first set. Chung hit two double faults in the tiebreaker (including one to lose the set) and got broken in the first game of the second set.

Re: Kaohsiung CH SF: (4, WC) Bhambri def. (1, WC) Vesely 7-6(2) 6-0

Chung will be very tough to beat in the final. He's on a demolition job here.

Re: Thanasi Kokkinakis

I'm surprised he lost but I guess he probably was emotionally fatigued from Davis Cup.

Re: The Everything Davis Cup Thread (News, Articles, Live Scores)

Well chances are it came down to the doubles as most people expected.

Hewitt losing epic five setters happens time and time again these days. 6 of his last 8 Grand Slam losses were in five sets,...

^Even his first ATP quarter-final would be nice.

Re: The Everything Davis Cup Thread (News, Articles, Live Scores)

Goes down 6-3 6-0 6-3. Not a match up thing in my opinion, just Murray in the zone.

Re: The Everything Davis Cup Thread (News, Articles, Live Scores)

Can't wait until Kokkinakis v Murray tonight. I believe Kokkinakis matches up better against Murray than any other top Australian player.

Genova Challenger Final: [7] Almagro d. [5] Cecchinato 6-7(1) 6-1 6-4

Back into the top 100 for Almagro.

Cecchinato with his 10th Challenger semi-final or better this year.

Re: New Record - Nicolas Alvarez Varona (ESP) 14y 3m (1 ATPp)

Crazy to think that Carpriati made the semi-finals of a Grand Slam at a younger age.

Well done NAV.

Re: USO R2: [24] Tomic def. [WC] Hewitt, 6-3 6-2 3-6 5-7 7-5 (saves 2 MP)

Hewitt plays his best when he's behind and he's a horrible front runner. You watch his recent Grand Slam matches and you can feel the intensity drop when he's in front. It's as if he subconsciously...

Re: USO R2: [5] Wawrinka def. Chung, 7-6(2) 7-6(4) 7-6(6)

Chung playing an Asian Challenger next. It's a $125k+h but I still thought his Challenger days were behind him.
