Re: Davis Cup 2015 QF GB at Queens on Grass

I am not contradicting myself. My first post was a response to your comment; yes the captain is responsible for knowingly selecting an injured player.
My other post was about what Pioline actually...

Re: Davis Cup 2015 QF GB at Queens on Grass

Please  Pioline never implied such a grotesque thing. The point he was making is crystal clear : the players didn't do their best to be in top condition for DC ties i.e. DC was not on their...

Re: Davis Cup 2015 QF GB at Queens on Grass

He wasn't joking. Tulasne had to plot a dinner to settle things down between them. Gilles later explained that he wasn't born when Noah won RG.

Re: Davis Cup 2015 QF GB at Queens on Grass

It is his fault. You simply don't select injured or out-of-form players into the team (unless you want to have an excuse ready in advance).
What has Tsonga done on grass this season to justify...

Re: 2015 Season SCHEDULE and CHEERING Thread!!!

Super-annoying-Gilles was strangely missing since the start of the tournament, he was bound to show up sooner or later. :( At least, no suspense in that last set.

Re: 2015 Season SCHEDULE and CHEERING Thread!!!

As Sammy said, Mahut's limitations are in his skills and technic. He may come up with a smart gameplan but being able to execute it is another story. On the other hand, Gulbis may be brain dead but...

Re: 2015 Season SCHEDULE and CHEERING Thread!!!

I would prefer Mahut anyway. His attacking game, especially on clay, suits Gilles better; the latter won't have to take initiatives. ^^ And although he's in dire form atm, there's always a...

Re: Articles & interviews

Great interview! Thanks Soulage. It's surprising to see Carine use that sort of language in an interview. And considering Gilles' swearings on court, their "thousand disputes" must have been homeric....

Re: 2014, European Clay Season

Wow indeed.

6/1 6/1 6/3 and 6/4 6/0 6/2 are so not Gilles' usual scorelines.
Must be his best start ever in a grand slam tournament.

Re: 2014, Season Down Under

I'm reading l'Equipe article; at *6/7 in the fifth, Gilles hit four aces in a row to hold serve. It must be a first time ever for him. ^^

Yep, since early 2009 at the very least. But that's only during competition, inbetween tournaments he does shave.

Re: Articles & Interviews

Not really puzzling imo. Assuming Piatti was still negotiating at that time, those tweets and pictures are a pretty good PR plan to show off his work to his future client. The "c'était très préparé...

Sympa l'interview de KdS. Pas sympa du tout l'histoire de l'accréditation par contre. :/

Re: 2013 Fall Season, Regroup! Allez!

Jeremy took care of getting bumped out of singles asap to get fired up for doubles, that's so cute. :sobbing: (Mannarino did the same but to no avail. Noob!)
