Re: US Open R2 : Sock def. Gonzalez 7-6(3) 1-6 7-5 6-2

First time Sock has won a match beyond three sets! I went crazy when I saw that he bounced back from the second.

The second...he beat Gicquel in 2011...

Re: Tokyo and Beijing courts speed

Tokyo has always been one of the fastest courts on tour...if they didn't use the Srixon balls they probably would be unplayable...

Re: Bangkok round 32: Karlovic def. Matosevic 6-3 6-4.

Anyone care to tell us what happened in this match? I'm not interested in the relative merits of big servers....

Re: Eastbourne-QF: Smart or just stupid?

It does look a bit silly on the face of it but I guess they have done it for a very good reason...

Re: Queens R2: Malisse def. Bogomolov 6-3 4-6 6-0

Malisse apparently went ballistic in the second set and got a game penalty...told the ump to shit his diaper...

Re: Roland Garros QR2: Grigelis def. [14] Delbonis 6-4 7-6(4)

The scoreline suggests he was fighting...maybe he just didn't have it physically...could have done better if he had played tomorrow...

Re: Roland Garros QR2: Grigelis def. [14] Delbonis 6-4 7-6(4)

Well he said he struggled big time against Smyczek yesterday. He was probably feeling a bit tired today...not easy to back it up.

Re: Rome R1: [10] Del Potro def. Llodra 7-5 3-6 6-4

Llodra had a set point at *4-5. The left knee was the one which was giving DelPo a problem.

Re: Madrid QR1: Del Bonis def. Pospisil 7-5, 7-6(8-6)

Delbonis used to be 2 words Del Bonis...I don't why it was changed.

Re: Madrid QR1: Hanescu def. Schwank 6-3 6-2

He actually didn't blame the courts for his loss. He just said they were rubbish. He admitted he was second best.

Re: Estoril QF: Wawa routines Haase 6-1, 6-4

No he didn't. He's not playing qualies.

Re: Belgrade R2: Nieminen def. [Q] Veic 6-3 4-6 6-3

I guess you have never seen Benoit Paire play before...he could lose a set 6-0 to a 14yo kid.

Re: Belgrade R2: Nieminen def. [Q] Veic 6-3 4-6 6-3

You may not agree with what Filo says but I suggest he knows a lot more about tennis than you do.

Re: Belgrade R2: Nieminen def. [Q] Veic 6-3 4-6 6-3

Are you watching Paire v Nieminen? I guess not...Paire is playing like a club hacker at the moment...

Re: Qualifying Entry List (updated May 3, 2012)

I wouldn't be so confident about Roger-Vasselin. Estoril to Madrid is not that far to drive. All depends on what happens tonight I guess. He could even play Madrid qualies if he gets to the final of...

Re: Qualifying Entry List (updated May 3, 2012)

I can't see either Dodig or Souza turning up in Madrid. They are both still playing in Belgrade.

Re: Qualifying Entry List (updated April 30, 2012)

They will play qualies if they lose in doubles before Saturday. If they don't they won't care as there's good money at stake for reaching the latter stages of doubles.

Re: Qualifying Entry List (updated April 30, 2012)

They may not be able to take them up if they keep winning this week.

Re: Madrid Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated April 30, 2012)

I don't think Haase will get in. Those "injured" players won't give up their pay cheque.

Re: Madrid Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated April 30, 2012)

Fish is almost certainly out. Stepanek has been struggling with illness and both Berlocq and Melzer have got injuries so he could easily get in.
