Re: Teenagers with One handed backhands

There's a 6'7", 19-year-old American named Christopher Eubanks who has a one-handed backhand. He's a sophomore at Georgia Tech and is ranked 6th in the country. I think he has a lot of potential.

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

It's interesting to look back on how previous Les Petits As finalists have done:

2015
Winner: Chun Tsin Tseng (Taiwan) - Won Eddie Herr 14s and was runner-up in the Orange Bowl 14s. Has an ITF...

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

Either way is fine with me. Maybe we should include the 2003 juniors as well now that they have or will be graduating to the 14s.

I watched a decent portion of Leustian's QF and SF matches and...

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

I dare say that JJ Wolf is one of the best ball strikers among American juniors. I really like the way he hits the ball. He's a solid all-around player. He'll be a tough out this year, at least on...

Re: 1997-1998 Juniors: Wiersholm, Nava, Kozlov, Tiafoe, Mmoh, Blumberg, Ponwith, etc.

The draw for the Orange Bowl is out. Rybakov's draw is pretty good. FAA, Tsitsipas, Valkusz, Shapovalov, and Olivieri are all in the opposite half. He could face Hossam (runner-up at the GA in...

Re: 1994-1996 : Rubin, Kwiatkowski, Halebian, Papa, Corinteli, McDonald, Donaldson,

I caught some of Christopher Eubanks' SF match at the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships. He lost 7-5 in the third, but he might be the best American collegiate prospect. Similar to...

Re: Charlottesville Challenger Final: Rubin def. Paul 3-6 7-6 6-3 (saves 2 CP's)

Even that's not the end of the list. 6'10" Reilly Opelka, the #6 junior in the world and reigning junior Wimbledon champ, will be formidable in time (he's ahead of where Isner and Karlovic were at...

Video of Holt vs. Kalman Boyd from June:

I'm not seeing much in the way of weapons, but his recent results are encouraging. It's too bad he had to...

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

A few random items:

- 14-year-old Adam Neff will be playing a G5 in Honduras this week.
- 15-year-old Sangeet Sridhar is playing a G2 in Serbia this week. Last week he lost in the first round of...

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

Opelka won easily, so Americans went 2-4 on the day. Disappointing. Riffice and Ross had tough draws and are still relatively young, but Ponwith and Nava had very winnable matches. Borges is...

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

Kirkov draws Ymer in round one. Ugh. He's had lousy luck with draws. He played FAA in the third and first rounds of his last two tournaments, and now he gets Ymer.

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

Ross falls to Aliassime 6-3, 6-1. FAA is on a tear. He poses a major threat to the Americans at the U.S. Open, as does Mikael Ymer.

Also, Trent Bryde lost in three sets to Benjamin Hannestad in...

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

I'm hoping that Kozlov decides to play and claims the last wild card. The draw would be fully stacked with top-flight Americans if he did. If he doesn't, one of the guys in qualifying probably gets...

Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

Riffice vs. Rotsaert in the final.

Rotsaert has been playing good tennis lately, and he seems to like clay. Should be a good match.
