Re: Federer to do test with Paul Annacone

I think these two can get along well, Annacone is a smart guy who already worked with a GOAT in the past. He will give him tactical advices mainly. Roger might go more to the net in the final part of...

Re: Rajeev Ram's and Sampras' service motion: Any other stroke similarities in tennis

Footwork and trophy pose are different. I'm not sure he copied him because I saw a Monfils video when he was a kid and he had the same motion.

Re: Is 286 basically locked for Fed?

Agree, Pete's been very graceful, given that he has set huge records thanks to big sacrifices and intense focus on his career. These records could have stand 30+ years, and 8 years into retirement...

Re: Is 286 basically locked for Fed?

This one is not that meaningful, Roger has also been number 1 in the world for 6 consecutive years, just not at end November one year, so what ? 286 weeks is maybe PS biggest record. Roger will push...

Re: Is The Book On Federer's Career Closed?

One funny trivia is that despite not doing the CYGS, Fed has won more grand Slam matches in one year than any other player, including Laver. In 2006 he won 27 GS matches vs. 26 for Laver in 1969....

Re: nadal no longer skinny

I think he lost a bit of weight last year but as he said himself in WTF, the shape and cut of the shirt plays a big role.
In Abu Dabi he still looked skinny (1st pic) and a few days later in Doha, he...

Re: Santoro to play AO

He wanted to retire in Paris but then a journalist came up and told him he could set the 4-decade record. He made up his mind and decided to play. No big deal. Santoro likes tennis history and...

Re: Poll: What was the biggest GS choke of the noughties?

Coria comes to mind, psychological cramping on multiple MP's beats everything, plus it destroyed the rest of his career. And it was against Gaudio FFS.

Re: AEGON MASTERS dec1-6 Tomorrow begins!!!!

Funny that these two "old men" have better volleys than 99.9% of the ATP tour, even today (0.1% for Fed, Dent...).
Rafter's quote about the rallies is priceless...

Re: WADA- actions are worse than doping

There's some truth in what you say OP, there is injustice in the fact that richer countries can supply undetectable stuff.
But the issue is that ATP and ITF don't look for certain substances like...

Re: Players retiring as a form of protest?

I don't know what's behind but this is a huge waste of money and of time for many people.
I think the players are just tired, they want to go home and the empty seats don't help. They might say to...
