Re: Murray vs Safin [USO]

When Safin could stay healthy for a big period of time, he could play at a very high level for months, not just one match. That's some bullshit people that started watching tennis in 2008 say. He did...

Re: Murray vs Safin [USO]

So he destroyed Sampras, beat Federer, but he wouldn't be able to beat Murray?

Safin is a better player at his best than Murray, although the latter is obviously more consistent. But it's not like...

Re: Nadal never had his own era

The problem with considering 2008-2010 Nadal's era is Federer dominated 2009, early 2010. In 2009 he reached the final of all GS and won two, then won AO 2010, winning 3 out of 4 slams in that...

Re: If Rafa beats Federer & Djokovic to win the US Open

Djokovic beat Nadal and Federer to win the USO, is he the GOAT? Hell, Delpo did it too :worship:

Like every fanbase doesn't do that (Ex: Mono, Not at his peak, etc.)

Re: Nadal never had his own era

First half of his career is a stretch

He was poor in 2009 and 2010, but in 2007 he was already a slam finalist and M1000 winner, beating Nadal and Federer and guys like Roddick, Murray, etc....

Re: Non Big 4 Players that Absolutely Peaked in Non-GS events.

Cañas in Toronto 2002. Absolutely brutal performance.

Re: Nadal never had his own era

It is true. Surprisingly Nadal never finished #1 two years in a row (or started and finish a year as #1). His best years were 2008, 2010 and 2013. But he still has the same amount of slams as Sampras...

Re: Why is Djokovic not as popular as Nadal/Federer?

This. Also the rivalry Federer-Nadal helped them a lot, well, helped Nadal, Federer would always be a mega-star regardless and was before Nadal appeared.

Re: Do you rather wake up early or stay up late?

This. But I like mornings so I prefer sleeping in the afternoon.

Re: Sampras 98, Hewitt 01, Roddick 03 vs Djokovic 08

Not Safin and Hewitt. You could have included Roddick instead of them.

Re: Sampras 98, Hewitt 01, Roddick 03 vs Djokovic 08

Murray in 2012 finished 3 or 4? He had a slam, another final and Olympics (+ some masters). Nadal had a slam, another final and some masters and finished 3 or 4 as well (Don't remember the order...

Re: 2003 Federer vs 2015 Djokovic Wimbledon Final

Mmmm, Federer in 4. His variety would hurt Djokovic. In 2012 he was playing a bit below 2003 I think when he beat him in 4 too.

Re: Any other Federer fans feel extremely frustrated about this Wimbledon?

This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Was Federer greedy denying Agassi his swan song in USO 2005? Or when he beat Roddick in Wimbledon 2009 for the 3rd time in a final? Or when he beat Murray...

Re: Roger Federer named the World's Most Marketable Sports Star, Djokovic 7th, Nadal

Yeah, cause Federer (or Nadal, or every other player) never screamed at an umpire

Re: Roger Federer named the World's Most Marketable Sports Star, Djokovic 7th, Nadal

Phil Mickelson over MESSI, LEBRON, Djokovic, Nadal, Kobe Bryant and Cristiano? Mmmm, strange to say the least.

Re: Which two consecutive losses was more embarrassing: Nadal-Fognini or Federer-Cana

Srichaphan, Federer, Kafelnikov, Haas, Safin and Roddick IIRC. Ridiculous.

Re: Which two consecutive losses was more embarrassing: Nadal-Fognini or Federer-Cana

I don't think none was "embarrassing". Federer loses came more out of the blue, since he had a 40+ winning streak at the time, but he lost to Cañas that is a better player than Fognini. Nadal at his...

Re: Johnny Groove's Top 69 Players Ever (Djokovic #11 of all time, Wawrinka #56)

Borg is massively underrated in the goat debate because many people just look at stats without analyzing much.

Re: Johnny Groove's Top 69 Players Ever (Djokovic #11 of all time, Wawrinka #56)

Agassi as the most legit calendar slam in the game. Federer, Nadal and Djokovic if he gets it had the surface homogenization and Laver had less surfaces. Not only that, he was one win away of winning...

Re: Endless Era Debates

Federer is 34 and has a positive H2H against Murray. In slams it's even more loopsided, 5-1 (ALL OF THEM, after 2007, that's during Murray's peak and after Federer's). If Murray turns it around, it's...

Re: Endless Era Debates

Nalbandian beat Djokovic, Nadal and Federer in the same tournament back to back. :worship:

But I'd put Stan over González. He was more consistent than him, although González' level at the AO 2007...
