Re: The Bernard Tomic Cheering Thread!

Funny article really. I think Bernard has come to terms with the "hype and pressure" well before John Tomic! It is usually the father who draws attention to Bernard for things other than his...

Re: The Bernard Tomic Cheering Thread!

[QUOTE=jmf07;9438198]He's an idiot but he actually has a point for once. [QUOTE]

I think he makes many valid points whether he is an idiot or not - i don't know him. I always worry about a player...

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

Total agreeance. You wouldn't actually think it would be an issue we would be writing about - would you? It just seems so obvious.

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

No wonder parents and kids leave this sport. Reading that list from AceVentura is a sad indication of the talent that we had in this country that has not been fostered. TA should be ashamed. It...

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

Don't get me wrong - I hope Kubler becomes a great Australian tennis player - nothing would thrill me more - but this TA obsession with throwing them out there so young at the expense of other boys...

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

Hey ace Tomic was the finalist - the best of the youth up to age 23 must be Lindahl.
Kubler hasn't proved he is the best of the youth. He lost to Duckworth 60 in the third the other week. Maybe we...

Re: The Bernard Tomic Cheering Thread!

Who would be surprised to hear that! Tomic was going to get one regardless of whether he won the playoff or not.

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

If everybody pretty well thinks this kid is going to get absolutely spankied out there then tell me why TA would do it to him? As jmf07 said there are boys out there who have played there heart out...

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

Don't know Kubler well enough - you obviously have more insight into him. However, i believe he should pay his dues - i believe he should fight his way through qualies at the very least - why are we...

Re: Nick Lindahl Cheering Thread

Was a great fighting effort from Nick. Lucky you got your main draw wildcard there - sounds like Ball, Tomic and Kubler! got three of the others!

Re: Jason Kubler Cheering Thread

Tell me this is a joke! So much for not pushing too fast! No doubting that the kid is going to be good but he doesn't have a ATP point! What is going on with TA? YOu gotta feel for the other older...

Re: AO WC playoff streamed live on tennis.com.au

What happened to the MEN's Playoff? Surely these young ones like Duckworth, Banes, Mitchell will have their chance in coming years. And I thought the criteria for the 18's National was the eventual...

Re: Serious Question about Australian Tennis

Good on Lleyton for coming out and standing up for the dreams of the forgotten kids out there struggling to try and make it on the tour without any assistance from TA. It would seem that some of the...

Re: Serious Question about Australian Tennis

Hey ace

I think it was 2 national coaches and 1 TA coach - but yeah three coaches for 5 players - not a bad wicket if you can get it! And for the rest of the players they have left 3 national...

Re: Serious Question about Australian Tennis

You have hit the nail on the head Ace Ventura.

When will TA wake up - they are not accountable and they are giving themselves another five or six years to be accountable. But maybe then they will...

Re: The Bernard Tomic Cheering Thread!

I agree with stzenit. Whilst an unbelievable talent there is always the push to accelerate him so quickly onto the ATP Tour. His run hasn't been remarkable of late - he lost early rounds in...

Same - good luck Brydan on your Davis Cup debut. You deserve it!

Re: The "Peter Luczak" Cheering Thread!

It will be ok - Tomic is going to carry the nation along to victory when he wins a few rounds of MD. Haha

Wonder what the German program is doing that we aren't!

Re: The Mark "Baby Poo" Verryth Cheering Thread!

Have never seen a player that gets so many injuries as Verryth. Agree with ace ventura and oztennis here - big kid, big serve - might translate eventually into a big game (aka gooch) But i hear that...

Re: Wild Cards

I thought Todd Reid had injured his shoulder and was forced to serve underarm for a while. Maybe that's why he wasn't selected.
