Re: The significance of Nadal's match 3/26/17....

Not sure why anyone would think Nadal would've retired at 27. A lot of people thought that he'd be past it by then, though, which is not far wrong. He'll be 3 years slamless by Roland Garros, aged...

Re: Miami R3 Donaldson d. Raonic w/o

A guy who is 26 years old, who has only a single 500 event (which is his best title win), who has won a grand total of 11 games over 6 Masters Series final sets.

Theorising that number 1 is a...

Re: Peter Polansky Loses Set to Under-arm Server

Tennis players are among the most pussy people in the world. I am not sure why anyone would be annoyed with someone serving under arm.

Re: ATP Miami: D. Schwartzman def. D. Ferrer 6-2 6-3

I've been waiting on this happening for a long time, as I've considered Ferrer not much more than deadwood of the top 10, not too dissimilar to Berdych.

Ferrer has certainly maximised his talent...

Re: Miami R2: Wawrinka def. Zeballos 6-3 6-4

Jaziri? Jaziri is currently facing Lopez.

Anyway, Jaziri is one of the softest draws anyone could hope for. Hes 100 years old and has never done anything at all in the ATP.

Re: Bahrain F1 R32: El Aynaoui def Kossler 6-4 2-6 7-5

How I miss the big man. What an amazing player to watch and character. Shame he had such a short peak. Massive underachiever. The Hewitt match at the Australian Open was a blockbuster. Way better...

Re: Indian Wells Final: [9]Federer def. [3]Wawrinka 6-4 7-5

Anyone know why Wawrinka was so emotional? It seems unlike him to be like that in these circumstances. It's good to see.

Always good to have a Federer Wawrinka final.

Re: Rate Masters In Prestige

An event doesn't lose its prestige in 5 years. If that were the case, many events would be regarded as redundant.

Re: Rate Masters In Prestige

What are you smoking? Paris has an incredible history and it's the historic tradition of an event that normally garners its prestige. Only in the last 5 or so years has the event gone to pot. Rating...

Re: federer forehand best since 2013?

??

Yeah. And I'm saying you may as well throw 2013 in there, as well.

Very strange comment.

Re: Favourite tennis commentator

The amount of times tennis commentators get their facts wrong is astounding and it's only epitomised in this short clip.

Re: federer forehand best since 2013?

His forehand, like everything else, was awful in 2013. Why not go back to 2012?

Re: Kygrios Eating Chips from fan: Food Poisoning?

That's not more likely at all. That's quite a big assumption you've just made based on your experiences with what others have said.

Re: Kygrios Eating Chips from fan: Food Poisoning?

I hate to break it to you but I'm only concerned with what makes sense, not what the rest of the world thinks (America and countries that have learned English through watching American television).

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 5

Thanks you two! Good quality.

This is a very boring match, though. Busta is just lackluster.

We've had only a few posts so far in this thread and already two of the worst, most obnoxious commentators to grace the earth have been put forth as tennis' finest. What planet are you lot on?

Re: Indian Wells QF: Sock def. Nishikori 6-3 2-6 6-2

Demolition? 4 sets, one of which he lost 6-1, a crucial tie-break won in the third, sets with single breaks?

Re: Federer and Edberg part ways, step in Ljubicic.

But that Madrid final still shocks me. I have no idea how he managed to lose that match, after making Nadal look ordinary in the first two sets. Then the following week he ballsed it up against...

What a surprise.

Why do people think Nishikori will win anything of significance? He's really not that good.

Re: WWW: (3) Kyrgios vs (2) Tsonga

Absolutely ludicrous comment. You think in a far too simplistic sense. Attacking game = same. Inconsistent = same.

Safin's game was built around easy power, opposing either Kyrgios and Tsonga....
