Re: Week 33: Bronx, New York, USA [Qualifying Draw]

This is a neat tournament. It's in a public park in the middle of a working class neighborhood in the Bronx. It's also free (except for the final day, which is I believe $10.00).

Re: Noam Okun

Well, there's a reason why, at 28, he's still on the challenger level.

But I did see both Okun and Kubot on the 3rd day of qualies. Kubot was basically a hacker. A strong serve but not much...

Re: Noam Okun

I saw both Okun and Levy's qualifying matches. Okun looked great. He controlled the match against the #2 seeded qualifier and was able to mix up his game. He now has a pretty favorable draw, and...

Re: Andy Ram recieved a WC for the qualifying

Ahhh, so THAT explains why Yoni Erlich is playing with Leander Paes this week.

Good for Andy. He and Yonni have been doing well in doubles, but it means that Andy hasn't had a chance to get...

Re: Germany vs. Israel

Man, that is one serious whooping that Schuettler gave Okun. Not too much of a surprise considering the disparity in ranking.

It sounds like Noam played horribly. I wonder if Mansdorf...

Harel's in. :yeah:

The qualifier list is out, and indicates that Harel, originally seeded first, was put in the main draw.

Re: Re: Whos going?

Holding a tennis tournament the week of Carnaval in Brazil? Doesn't strike me as the wisest ATP scheduling move.

Re: Privat bank Ukraine Nov 10-17

Had he won the final, he would have. The main draw cutoff is 104. Harel is now at 109. He may make it in if there are a few injuries, etc.
