Re: Djokovic's highest level at a slam?

USO 11 for me. Tipsarevic played GOATly just to stay deadlocked before Novak ground him into dust and then he beat a pretty strong Federer and Nadal back to back.

Re: Washington R1: Chung def. Sela 6-2 6-1

I've seen people say Boredo's backhand is good just because it's a one-hander :rolls:

Re: 1996-1998 Americans Rising?

Given the general decline in quality of young talents in the last 5-10 years I wouldn't expect any of them to be as good as James Blake, let alone Andre Agassi.

Re: WWW The Ashes 2015

Australia have cracked when they've come under remotely any pressure. Chalk and cheese compared to their home soil.

Re: M.Muzza.M Chat

He might fancy winning this, tanking in Montreal and giving his all in Cincy. If he won Washington and one of the AMS, he gets 1500pts. That's more than if he doesn't bother here, and wins one AMS...

Re: 1st Round Dangers Turned Titles (or Deep Runs)

Andreev served for the third set. That would have been tasty if he'd closed it out.

Re: 1st Round Dangers Turned Titles (or Deep Runs)

Murray was two points from an R3 exit in the USO 08 against Melzer- 6-7 4-6 6-6 (5-5), came through 7-5 and then went on to win in five before straight setting Wawrinka, winning a real war with del...

Re: Murray Wimbledon 2013 vs Djokovic Wimbledon 2015

He still lost in 2013 and there's nothing you external factor-peddling scruffs will ever be able to do to change that :haha:

Re: 1st Round Dangers Turned Titles (or Deep Runs)

Gonzalez survived del Potro barely in the first round of the 2007 AO and then blasted through everything else in his path.

Re: Hamburg F: Nadal def. Fognini 7-5 7-5

lol at Nadal winning with those stats.

But he's 'back' of course, until he gets Nole in Montreal QF and gets donkey-punched.

Re: The biggest vulturing this year ?

Probably Nadal in Hamburg on account of it's not even the proper clay season, more the post-W clay swing that Fed attempted to vulture 2 years ago.

Ferrer was just doing what Ferrer does and Murray...

Re: Hamburg SF: Nadal def. Seppi 6-1 6-2

Nadal fans here remind me of after Madrid SF  A thumping was dished out the following day.

Bring on a repeat, Fabio :rocker2:

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 21

Nadal will still win comfortably, it's just that he's created his 'excuse' should Fognini school him.

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 21

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 21

Seppi hasn't really got any weapons to push him back tho, ergo it's the kind of match he'll get rhythm to do what he wants, a bit like the Nadal-Boredo match-up.

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 21

This is why you can't just judge tougher opposition on ranking.

There's players lower ranked than Seppi who would be far, far tougher today.

Re: Murray vs Safin [USO]

Safin would beat most players ever if he was at his peak, so naturally this one's down to him.

Re: Any other Murray fans feel extremely frustrated about this season?

There's some sense in this but the arrogance and twattishness kind of cancel it out.

Re: Some flawed (IMO )arguements given for djokovic

I don't like all this criticism of people for whom English is not their first language.

Anyone who attempts to use a 2nd language on a regular basis deserves some kudos.

Focus on the opinions, not...
