Re: Rank these PEAK 21st century Forehands.

Nobody seems to have mentioned Moya or Ferrero - at their peak, they should be in contention for the 5-10 range for best forehands in the 21st century.

Re: Which of these players is the best indoors ?

From the options in the poll, Nadal has the best achievements indoors even though his playing style is probably least suited to indoors - this is probably a combination of Nadal being a better player...

Re: Murray on Grass = Ferrero on clay?

As of now, Ferrero's achievements on clay are better than Murray's achievements on grass, and he probably could have achieved much more had he not suffered from injuries and illness.

If Murray wins...

Which of the following great grasscourt players was the best / most talented on clay?

The players in the list were chosen because they reached multiple Wimbledon SF or better and were/are generally considered weak or weaker on clay. I think some of them were/are actually underrated on...

Re: Miami QF: Nishikori ruins the tournament, def Federer 3-6 7-5 6-4

Good result for Nishikori, but not a completely surprising result since Nishikori already beat Federer last year. I hope both players continue to do well this year and stay injury-free.

The more...

Re: Players you're surprised never reached a slam R16

I remember a similar thread made just before 2009 Roland Garros focusing on why one player had never reached the 4th round of a slam. That player went on to reach the final of 2009 Roland Garros,...

Re: End the madness now - Who's career would you rather take? Hewitt vs Murray, VOTE

If they both ended their careers this year, I would take Hewitt's since he finished two years at No.1 and won Masters Cup twice. Hewitt has also won Davis Cup twice and been in Davis Cup final four...

Re: The pound-for-pound 10 best players in the world by each surface: Rank'em

From the thread title, I thought the OP wanted to calculate by dividing each player's points on a surface by their weight! =P

Which season would you rather have: Sampras's 2001 season or Federer's 2013 season?

Sampras's 2001 season and Federer's 2013 season were the first seasons for them to finish outside of the top 3 since they reached the number 1 ranking.

A few questions for discussion:
1. Which...

Re: Matrix of mental toughness: 250+1 OE players (psycho-stats, entanglement)

The picture is taking a long time to load because of its size. (And it loads from bottom-up.) Was there any particular reasoning for the positioning of the players in the picture?

Re: Matrix of mental toughness: 250+1 Open era players (psycho-stats)

I was just pointing out the irony in Gaudio defeating Coria and saving match points, haha. I have to admit I'm not too familiar with Costa since I only started following tennis closely in 2002, so I...

Re: Matrix of mental toughness: 250+1 Open era players (psycho-stats)

I really enjoy reading your posts Voo, they are always informative and interesting.

Some interesting 'stats' I found from your lists:

Coria ranked very high but failed to win the RG final against...

Re: Which top 10 player at peak form could beat Djokovic, Nadal and Federer in a row?

Didn't Safin finish No.11 in 2001 after Haas (No.8), Henman (No.9) and Sampras (No.10)? I don't think Safin was in a position to 'accept the position' as alternate.

Regarding 2002, Haas didn't have...

Re: Which top 10 player at peak form could beat Djokovic, Nadal and Federer in a row?

Peak Murray (and maybe Del Potro) could possibly beat 2013 Djokovic, Nadal and Federer in a row in best of 3. Nobody can do it in best of 5 sets.

If we are including players who are no longer in the...

Re: Outside of the top 10, what's been your favourite part of 2013?

Janowicz's Wimbledon SF.

Gulbis's resurgence.

Monfils's RG performance and his comeback from injuries.

I don't consider myself a fan of Robredo, but his comeback from injuries including winning a...

Re: Should Berdych be ashamed of his 0 titles season so far in 2013?

If he is healthy, he has a good chance of winning one of the remaining tournaments.

Re: Mal: Battle for No. 1 heating up. Is Federer burning himself out???

What is more interesting/funny about this article is that none of Agassi, Federer and Ferrero finished as Year-End No.1 that year: that honour went to Roddick. ;)

Re: Wimbledon QF: Djokovic routines Berdych 7-6(5), 6-4, 6-3
