Re: An astonishing fact about the Federer-Djokovic rivalry.

Since 2011 Nadal and Novak have played 27 matches but Novak was the favourite in only 15 of them.

Novak leads the H2H 19-8 since 2011 more so than he does against Federer. But yet he has not...

An astonishing fact about the Federer-Djokovic rivalry.

Djokovic has been the betting favourite for the last 25 matches starting from the SF of the 2011 Indian Wells Masters. The actual H2H for these 25 matches stands at 16-9 in favor of Novak so not...

Re: Federer beating Nadal in GS is bigger than #18

No he doesn't need to do that. Nadal is the clay GOAT it's the most undisputed claim in all of tennis and Federer has also repeatedly said that.

Re: Djokovic lost the hunger after winning FO

I don't know why people talk about that, it should be Project 15 right now and once it is achieved he can move on to the final objective if there is still enough time. Not to mention that it is still...

Re: Murray to leave AO if Kim gives birth...

Is this a serious question? Even if he is playing Novak he would never go back because his reputation as a sports star will go down the drain for having ruined a GS Final for non health reasons....

Re: Djokovic is @1.12 to beat Nadal, in a final

I thought the same thing at RG final but even when Nadal came back from 0-4 to 4-4 in the first set the odds did not dip below the original.

Things you don't like about your favourite player?

Nadal has always been my favourite player since he burst on to the scene. I have always disliked how long he takes to deliver a first serve. I also find his butt picking and subsequent smelling the...

Excuses, excuses and just excuses.

The GS H2H is 6 matches on clay, 4 on HC and 3 on grass. Guess who is on on top even if we remove clay altogether?

This clay argument is the same BS that...

Since Nadal is no longer any way near his prime it really doesn't matter now if Federer beats him. The time has passed for Federer to beat Nadal to prove a point. He has emphatically lost this battle...

Yes but 3 is still very much a material difference. Nadal should really win at least one more GS to stand alone on the 2nd spot to have a far better argument at being GOAT.

Quantity wise the...

When you wanna talk about peak level of play then you only talk about the biggest matches because that's where a player performs at their peak.

Re: Former No.20 speaks - Djokovic is the best player in history

This thread is such a joke really.

First of all there is no such thing as "post 2011" being used as some sort of an argument because tennis didn't start in 2011 and neither did Novak's career. He...

Re: Which slam would you like Rafa to win next?

Why do people want the 10th RG? It doesn't change anything just because its double digits. The record of 9 GS is as secure as it gets. He is already the surface GOAT and nobody in sight is going to...

There can't be an objective way to determine it. But logic tells a 5 match sample is woefully small it doesn't even give the losing player a proper chance to work out the battle and try to fix things.

Re: There is no such thing as a bad match up.

Yes they are. I understand in tennis you won't find too many rivalries with double digit matches but in order to satisfy the ascertain of "consistently" beating you have got to have a big sample.

Re: There is no such thing as a bad match up.

Pretty small samples here except for Soderling vs Ferrer. You really need bigger samples to satisfy the criteria of "player A consistently beating player B".

Re: There is no such thing as a bad match up.

Except the fact that Davydenko did not "consistently" beat Nadal. It's 6-5 as immaterial a H2H "win" as it gets.

Only matchups with a good amount of sample matter.

Davydenko is the only player who is ahead of Nadal with a meaningful sample. And it's just a gap of 1 match. If Federer and Nadal were something...
