Re: Lyon R2: [Q] Kicker def. [4] Kyrgios 2-6 6-4 6-2

Once of these days I'll train a neural net, make a PepitaBot.

Re: Jason Jung's account of his trip to Uzbekistan

What he doesn't mention is that the Uzbek and Kazakh challengers are notorious fixing-fests, which is why half the players go there.

Re: Lyon R1: [Q] Hyeon Chung def. Donald Young 6-2 6-3

Chung was serving great, and he's a mighty hard nut to crack when that's the case.

Re: FO Qualies Draw and matches talk

Bashvili vs RCB was one gamblers might want to avoid, shall we say.

Re: What does it take to win a major in 2017?

Faced Tanknini, Isner in the sfs, and awol-ovic in the final.

Not saying it's not highly impressive regardless, but I'd be reluctant to cast it as some great breakthrough. You do get surprise...

Re: FO Qualies Draw and matches talk

Used to be Tuesday, but it got moved to Monday last year. Dunno why - maybe players getting annoyed at lack of practice courts?

Re: Rome SF: [2] Djokovic def. D Theim 6-1 6-0

Think it's safe to assume Djokovic is back on the "gluten-free".

Re: Rome QF: Isner def. Cilic 7-6(3) 2-6 7-6(2)

Isner has been generally terrible for 2/3 years now, but he has single events where it all suddenly comes together. See his run to the Bercy final last year, or Miami 2015.

Re: Heilbronn CH R2 Ruud def. Basic 7-5 6-7 (4-7) 7-5

Yeah, he's in RG quails next week, then Prostejov :-)

Could crack top100 this week, although obviously it's only a matter of time regardless.

Re: Rome R2: Fognini def. Murray 6-2 6-4

It is, but before the elbow problem in IW it wasn't that bad. He's basically returned from that 4 weeks ago and struggled badly since, on his worst surface.

Djokovic has been at his current level...

Re: Rome R2: Fognini def. Murray 6-2 6-4

Played great against Querrey, especially.

Zverev was a stinker on the day, but he's had those before at all slams. Sometimes escapes and live for another day (eg last Roland Garros vs Stepanek and...

Re: Rome R2: Fognini def. Murray 6-2 6-4

He's talking about footwork - it was awful. Clay movement has never been natural to him, and he's taken some pretty heavy losses in Monte Carlo some years as a result: 1/6 2/6 vs Wawrinka 2013, 2/6...

Re: Rome R2: Fognini def. Murray 6-2 6-4

Same garbage from Murray as the rest as the clay season. Spraying UEs all over, couldn't control the ball off either wing, couldn't return, and gave up in the 2nd.

Fognini playing like this is top...

Re: Tennis Radio - ATP Free Live Audio Streaming

Yeah, it's quite good. Nice to listen to if you have to work - a stream is just too distracting, but easy to have radio on all day.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 7

Iif there's one thing guaranteed to put a spark of life into Murray, it's the big comeback.

Still playing shite though.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 7

He lost his focus a bit with Murray not trying. Hard to keep the accelerator to the floor when the opponent is signalling he's done.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 7

Won the point at 15/15 cos of a UE, but it's the random Murray shots off both wings that land before the service line that get me. Those were basically mis-hits, cos he's not moving the feet.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 7

3rd dropshot Murray makes zero attempt to run for.

Re: 2017 Live Commentary Vol. 7

And tankmode engaged. Could have reached that dropshot in his sleep, it was just short of the service line.
