Re: In which categories will Djokovic surpass Federer?

Actually, it's more about his rivals. I'm not saying it's a lock, far from it, but seeing who will be playing in three years time why not?

Re: In which categories will Djokovic surpass Federer?

Slam QF are realistic. Semis quite a possibility, finals very hard.

Consecutive QF reachable, Masters titles are a lock and also wins are reality.

Slam match wins hardly, slam appearances very,...

Re: BOLD PREDICITION: Novak will win the Grand Slam this year

Yes, but this is looking strictly on a calendar year. Australian open was played after US open and was the case until 1987 as we all know.

Re: BOLD PREDICITION: Novak will win the Grand Slam this year

Edberg won in 1985. Wilander played the final.

Re: BOLD PREDICITION: Novak will win the Grand Slam this year

And somehow you still can't see that by mentioning Wilander you excluded Courier who did the same thing in 1992 (and is mentioned). Ergo, for me the history didn't start in 1989. The post is...

Re: BOLD PREDICITION: Novak will win the Grand Slam this year

And later wrote that it's been done only three times in the open era. Statistically, it's been the hardest thing to do in the past. You cited the link as an example but managed to disregard that...

Re: BOLD PREDICITION: Novak will win the Grand Slam this year

What's exactly your point? Federer back in 06-07 was one match short. In '09 two matches short. Nadal in '10 also three matches short.

RTFM

Re: BOLD PREDICITION: Novak will win the Grand Slam this year

As said before, if anything, history has shown that whoever wins AO, doesn't win RG. Last player who has achieved this was Courier back in 1992. Before him Wilander in 1988. Before him Laver in...

Re: If Djokovic wins the Grand Slam ....

The last player who managed to win AO and RG and to be a candidate for CYGS in Wimbledon was Courier back in '92. Not even Nadal or Federer managed to win both of them in the same year. So chances...

Re: Race to YE#1 between Federer and Djokovic

Best scenario: Federer loses semifinal in Bercy (360 points), Đoković in second round (10 points). In London Đoković wins two matches (400 points), Federer only one (200 points). Federer wins two...

Re: Del Potro vs Cilic: who is better?

Del Potro by far. But I don't see that both have equally bad record against big 4.

Čilić: 4-27 (12,90%)
Del Potro: 14-39 (26,41%)
