Re: Nadal Pulls a Serena?

there's a rumor that one of the reasons he was doing badly was "personal" -- Pete Bodo intimated something to that effect in his latest post (Bodo said he'll discuss it in his next article). I read...

Re: Djokovic's father at it again

Poor Novak. Hope he doesn't crash and burn too soon because of his emotional turmoil with his family! A great family support group is a must if Novak wants to be number one someday.

Your Personal Foolproof Technique for Faster Recovery After Rigorous Training

Suggestions are welcome. I'm training for an end of year tournament and I find that my recovery time was not as fast as when I started training in 2004. Icing and everything helps, but what else...

Re: Nasty Nadal Accused In 'cheat' Storm

ROGER Soderling? Haha! Good one!

The umpires just need to grow balls and actually give penalty points to the opponent whenever Rafa goes over the time limit prescribed for serving.

Hey, I'm a Rafa...

Re: An attempt to make a serious discussion about Roger-Rafa final

Actually, ys, Rafa said in the post-match interview that it wasn't an injury. His knee just felt a little sore so the tape was a precautionary measure so it won't get injured. The knee had little to...

Re: TIME TO CRY!!!!.........FED 5th TITLE def RAFA 76 46 76 26 62

Thanks for the answers about Roger re: Wimbly finals.

I also just read up that Roger played Wimbledon four times, reaching only as far as QF. It was on his FIFTH entry into Wimbledon that he reached...

Re: TIME TO CRY!!!!.........FED 5th TITLE def RAFA 76 46 76 26 62

turkjey5 - the "injury" was nothing. Nobody's saying it was the reason why the match turned around. Rafa said it wasn't an injury anyway, but just a soreness.

But definitely I would say the TIMEOUT...

Re: TIME TO CRY!!!!.........FED 5th TITLE def RAFA 76 46 76 26 62

I don't think the injury time out was a major factor in Rafa's loss. Although maybe the time it took to bandage his knee made his focus waver a bit. And that was all Roger needed to win the match....

Re: TIME TO CRY!!!!.........FED 5th TITLES def RAFA 76 46 76 26 62

I so agree with this. *sigh* I hope Nadal gets another chance next year at the Wimbledon final.

Re: TIME TO CRY!!!!.........FED 5th TITLES def RAFA 76 46 76 26 62

Rafa had a big opportunity, and as much as I wouldn't want to call it this, he did choke on the tie breaks by making unforced errors on his own serve. He needed to win that third set tie-break. And I...

Re: Nadal def Djokovic 3-6 6-1 4-1 ret.

Did you see Djokovic's blisters? My God, they were looked like they required actual surgery. *shudder* poor boy.

Re: What Are The Chances Rafa Takes Out Roger Tomorrow?

Tennisworld has pegged Nadal's chances only at 14%

It looks like the pecking order will not change anytime soon, but then again, that 14% chance is looking mighty dangerous right now.

I won't call...

Red face Re: Your opinion on Soderling's behaviour

Roddick was asked if he was as bothered as Soderling was about Rafa's so-called "delaying tactics."

He was asked about the impact of Nadal's "delaying tactics" - or, if you prefer, Nadal's habit of...

Re: Federer def. Blake, 6-0 6-3 6-4

I'm so happy Roger won!

It was an anti-climactic final match, though. There was no contest. As far as most people were concerned, the match that mattered was the semis, Roger vs. Rafa. Too bad it...

Re: Nadal blames fatigue for struggles

Then he needs to work more on his fitness then. Roger, Davydenko et al play the same schedule, and Rafa needs to keep up with them. Fatigue is a factor for poor performance, but sad as this may...

Re: Even more Nadal debating!!

As a Nadal fan, I am worried about the defeats he had lately, starting with Montreal. If the issue is fatigue, he seriously needs to work on his fitness if he wants to retain his number 2 status or...

And AS I SAID, I only offer it as MY OPINION, which is also valid in some respect, and would probably be an interesting addition to the discussion.

And of course, you and others are free to...

Re: Video: Berdych saying Nadal one dimensional, Federer multidimensional after match

If you're a player, you generally concentrate very much on your own game rather than analysing your opponent's in the heat of battle. You can't have much of an objective perspective of the other...

Re: Video: Berdych saying Nadal one dimensional, Federer multidimensional after match

You have the problem, not me.

Because I was reacting to what the other guy when he said he thought Berdych's assessment in the interview was more reliable than someone else's.

My take on it is:...

Re: Video: Berdych saying Nadal one dimensional, Federer multidimensional after match

You're really going for it GWH, but before you say anything else, get this straight: I'm not The Enemy.

I actually agreed that Tomas said NOTHING WRONG about Nadal's game (Didn't I just say that...
